KU IT didn’t care to let anyone know that they were making changes to early student two-factor, which locked me out of my account during school hours. I was unable to "verify" my identity without a bypass code from IT, and therefore unable to access any of my coursework. As a result, I had to ask instructors for extensions. IT Staff was not helpful via email and ignored my initial inquiry in their response. In the same thread, I was told that their call center was "down," though it seemed to be working just fine while I waited at the help desk. Additionally, in each interaction I had with IT Staff, I was told that I would need to sign up for two factor – I already KNOW this! I explained numerous times that I had signed up early for two-factor, then IT made a change that locked me out and prevented me from reactivating two-factor. If the issue weren't reliant on a code from IT, I would have solved it myself! Anyway, thanks for all the trouble guys!
These people are GREAT. I am in my last year at KU, and forgot to renew my password, and it expired. Got locked out of my account, and called KU IT and the representative helped me in a few minutes. I almost did not reach out because I thought it would take hours to fix this. Few minutes later, and I am back in my account.
This is not a general purpose IT service station, but since my laptop is owned by KU and I am an employee it worked. Parking could be better, but IT saved my data. Computer got reimaged.
KU IT has exceptional customer support. They work behind the scenes to ensure that everything keeps running as it should.
Good friendly group. They allowed us to have a blood drive there.
