Kryptic Tales Escape Rooms - Amusement center in Fountain Valley - 10221 Slater Ave suite 118, USA

We had a great time in the Mars room. This is a well thought out, well maintained intellectual journey - difficult enough to even challenge the tech professionals we had with us. Customer service and support was excellent. I highly recommend this place!

This escape room inhabits an old building with broken exterior lighting. We came one evening and the parking lot was dark, the stairwells were not lit well, and it felt like we were about to fall through the walkways. So it was a bit worrisome at first but I kept my mind open. We did the Mystery of Stillwater Asylum and we enjoyed it. Nothing was broken like the outside of the building. The set design is simple and can be underwhelming if you've done a lot of immersive rooms. The puzzles were a delight and straight forward. The room could use more immersion. It has a scary theme but it wasn't scary at all. The description I read about the room didn't really tie in really well. Our host was really great and we had a fun conversation afterwards. I always look forward to the recaps!

Had a fun night at Kryptic Tales Escape Rooms! I was in a party of four and we all had a great time. Our game master Adam was excellent and very funny. The puzzles were fun and challenging.

Had an amazing experience in the Operation Ares escape room! Completed it as a group of 3 who don't do escape rooms very often, the puzzles were fun and challenging and we had a great time. Our game master was very entertaining and added another layer to the experience overall, we really appreciated the jokes and all of the hints we asked for were really helpful to push us along. I also appreciated that the Operation Ares room was not creepy or spooky because I was worried about that beforehand from other escape rooms around Orange County. Overall an awesome time!

My kids and I went to Kryptic Tales on a whim on a holiday. We did the Stillwater Asylum and thoroughly enjoyed it! My son and I had done a few escape rooms before, but my daughter hadn't. She absolutely loved the experience. Adam was friendly and the room we did was well-conceived and super fun.

Definitely a great escape room! Adam was a great Games Master, especially for the two people in our party who had never done an escape room before. We did The Rosenberg Conspiracy and it was equally challenging for us more experienced players and the new players. We will definitely be back to try the other two rooms!

My girlfriend and I did the Mars mission room and it was a blast!! Love how well the puzzles all fit perfectly with the theme, just an all around treat. Have done probably around 80 rooms and would definitely recommend this one =)

Our experience at this escape room was amazing. We did the Asylum room, and it was definitely challenging enough, but we also felt like we were able to manage it in a group of five. Our game master was so funny and made us feel at home. It was a really fun time. We can’t wait to go back to check out the Mars room. I highly recommend coming to this escape room!
