sweet simple dive bar. I always end up talking to someone else at the bar or the bartender
Stopped in after a night at the museum. Nicest bartender in Philly
Great neighborhood bar in that kinda long narrow space that is typical of Philadelphia. Watched Wheel of Fortune & Jeopardy with the neighbors.. nice way to end my evening before going home to the laundry.
I love this place . It's a bar with true character . Owned by 3 generations of women, this 80year old bar survived prohibition and has a lovely group of regulars come in most nights.
Jim the bartender tries to learn everyone's name and make you feel welcome . Here it not about fancy cocktails, it about being welcomed to someone's home!
This is the kind of place where it is normal to pay with change. The kind of place that refills your glass rather than giving you a new one. The kind of place where you will find yourself in a deep conversation with the stranger sitting next to you and the bartender regarding some AI simulation theory that I was too drunk to remember. Some love it, some hate it, which is what makes it beautiful. They also have the cleanest bathrooms I have ever seen in Philadelphia.
Old school dive bar, reflects the neighborhood as it once was, but also very welcoming to a new wave of residents. Love the place but please, don't tell your friends. Just drop in and make a few new ones instead.
I am gonna give Krupas tavern 100 starts if possible! I found this hidden gem while staying in airbnb in art museum area! I told the bartenders(owners) that I am soon to move to Philly for work and they took it upon them to ensure I would have a safe neighborhood to live in! She literally took hours out of her day to make sure I find a good neighborhood and gave me all the tips I need to live in this city. This bar is the epitome of small establishment/center of community! The sisters helped me out a lot I am in debt to them and I will be coming back here a lot more to talk to them even tho I will be living outside philly! Their personality is reminds me of a warm cup of soup my grandma made. Krupa’s tavern will make you feel like you are home away from home. Thank you for the hospitality! Don’t feel intimidated to talk to the sisters they are the sweetest and place is a little slow on the weekends but that’s the only time I went in.
Awesome neighborhood hole in the wall bar. Real great local feel, with welcoming bartender. Cozy and cheap beers. You can bring food in or get it delivered, which is nice.
We celebrated my sister's birthday here and we had so much fun! The atmosphere was really nice and we can't wait to go back again. Semaj was our instructor and he was really nice and extremely helpful ð

Service is great. Ice coffee is the best I've ever had. I had the Kind of Big Dill sandwich, and it was awesome. The fried pickles are an amazing touch! The atmosphere is funny and stunning at the same time. This is a definite must stop when in Port
I was skeptical of this place. Saw them building it and thought that it wouldnât be too likely to be big success.
I was proven wrong. Place is always busy on weekends and evenings. Free to go in, you are just paying for your dog(s). I went a few

The sound in Verizon hall... I have seen a good variety of performances here from Orchestra up to the top balcony and the back of the space. The hall is shaped like the inside of a cello. Opened in 2001 and updated in 2010, the sound is impressive. G
