After having driven by many times over the years on my way through the area, I finally stopped and was very glad I did. Has one of their Cranberry Mule special drinks (cranberry harvest week) at the bar before heading over to the food counter where I ordered a two meat, two side plate with smoked jalapeno cheddar sausage, burnt ends, corn bread and baked beans. Simply outstanding and will now be my go-to place for BBQ during the months they are open. Everyone who worked there was super friendly and the restaurant has a retro rustic country vibe to it. Highly recommended.

Group of four for a late lunch on a weekday. One of us was a vegetarian who was able to find more than enough to eat with the sides. The red potatoes were rated high by her. I followed the very friendly advice of the counter staff for pulled pork sandwich with a side of beans. Both were good. The beans are a meal unto themselves. The availability of sweet tea pleases one of our group. Two of our four got to go boxes as the food was plentiful. Bartender told me dog beer is best over dry dog food. People will spend anyone’s their pets.

first time visiting, very casual atmosphere, you can either dine in or take out. nice little seating inside or outside on patio. on the side of bldg, people wee playing corn hole, and they have live music which is adverized. I ordered the brisket with mac n cheese and potato salad. my son ordered ribs, mac n cheese, and coleslaw. Everything was very good, he raved about the ribs, no bbq sauce, but a rub which we prefer. i had the brisket very tender and smokey. we will be vack to try all variations.

For Wautoma, the place is pretty good. It would definitely satisfy the BBQ craving, but it was overall kind of dry for my taste. Usually I can fix that with sauce, but the sauce wasn't what I preferred though. Vinegar like sauce that wasn't the sweetness I would expect for a bbq sauce plus no real spicy option. I'd recommend you try it for yourself though because locals do enjoy it, I just prefer some bbq back home.

Legit southern style barbecue and Texas brisket. I travel all over the USA including Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina and Texas. This food rivals anything from the best BBQ places I have been to. Jalapeno grits! Brisket was moist and smoky. Pulled pork delicious and tender. They could use better condiments including onions, pickles and hotter sauces.

Popular place so we got there really early on a Saturday evening. When we left, lines were formed but they were moving quickly enough and had a lot of seating. You need to get your food yourself and find a table. Everyone in my party was more than happy with their food and compared them to some of the best barbecue places in the county. I sampled everything as well and really liked chicken as well as the cornbread the best. The Mac and cheese was just so so. Full disclosure: I got terrible food poisoning that night later on but no one else in my group did so can’t place specific blame.

Stopped here with a bunch of guys on an annual golf trip. Seriously the best BBQ place I've ever been too! The portions are huge, the prices are great and the food was unbelievably amazing! Several of us had the two meat two sides meal and it's enough food for two. I had the burnt ends as one of the choices and it was like eating BBQ candy! Melts in your mouth and delicious! I could keep going but will end by saying I told my wife we need to make a trip there just so she can see how great it is, and I'm sure we will be back several times Excellent place!

Ordered grilled chicken. Not smoked. Red potatoes were excellent. Chicken was moist. Cornbread was very good. Banana pudding and blueberry crisp was not good. So sweet. Owner (I think) was so helpful and pleasant. What I didn't like was the cafeteria like ordering. You place your order, get a number then a tray to carry to your table. They have outside seating along with inside. I rarely go out and like the rare experience of being waited on. But the one thing that will have me coming back is their sanitary cleaning. No using the same towel to wash the seat then the table. They spray and use paper towels. Prompt to clean up spills.
