Kramer's Midtown - Motel in Reno - 1607 S Virginia St, USA

Booked the place through Airbnb. I've never been to Reno so I did not have any expectations, I just thought that the room was nice in the picture. Stayed for a week from March 28th - April 4th and I love it! The check-in process was seamless, the room has a very complete amenities and a working air con that can also serve as a heater and there's also a high-speed wifi. It is close to several restaurants and Fedex (in case you need to print or something). The rapid station is just in front and on the left side, and it is close to the big casinos.

Don’t waste your time. I got robbed of 2,000 for a month stay. There was nowhere to park. I told the host DAYS AGO I had two vehicles and he assured me there was street parking and there WASN’T!!! He told me he was going to refund me and to just “cancel” it. He is a scam artist and he is a dishonest person. I just lost 2,000 because of this guy. Hopefully he can sleep well at night. Hope your business shuts down. People who steal NEVER win!!!!! Watch your back!!!

Rooms are small but overall a pleasant experience. There is a nice coffee maker in the community room and laundry machines available.

We enjoyed a 3 night stay at Kramer's. Self check-in was easy, reserved directly with the property. Thank you, Elizabeth! The room was light & bright. Our studio suite had a full kitchen although we did not use the luxury. Locale was good. The only down was the shower lacked running hot water. As we were in late at night & out early, we didn't contact management. We made it work.

Worst hotel experience EVER. We didn't received check-in instructions for our stay, and despite calling Kramer's during their business hours, calling the after-hours hotline, trying our luck at the hotel, and emailing, we weren't able to check in until just under 24 hours AFTER we were supposed to. We received no response from management; the only person we could reach was the on-site attendant who didn't know what was going on. The room are great but the customer service was laughable. This is a cool place but needs better systems! Don't waste your time.

Coming in to Reno/Tahoe area for a wedding, I booked a room this week to stay after a late night arrival flight, as the hotel is just minutes from the airport. I always try to support non-corporate boutique hotels in up and coming areas, and was pleased when Kramer’s caught my eye. As a conscientious traveler, I ensured I had been emailed a confirmation number and awaited the “instructions” email the day of check-in, however after getting off my flight at 11 pm, realized I hadn’t received it. I called the Kramer’s office number only to find that there is no one available to deal with after hours issues. I knew it was risky booking something like this, but had faith things would work out ok. So I got my rental car and drove to the property, but there were no additional resources or instructions to navigate the situation. I checked y credit card statement and realized I wasn’t charged for the hotel. So, I had no other choice but to find another hotel. The next morning when I called Kramer’s office, the gentleman I spoke with just kept saying “it’s not my fault”, told me my reservation was cancelled and he didn’t know why, and ultimately hung up on me when I expressed my frustration with what is obviously an inexcusable way of doing hotel business. He refused to provide his name so I could give this feedback to a manager. A few minutes later, I received a callback from a manager who informed me that my reservation had been cancelled because there “was an issue with my credit card”. She stated that two calls were made to contact me yesterday, but I have no record of either (perhaps I was on the plane at that time), but no voicemail was left either informing me of the issue or of the fact that my reservation was cancelled. Nor was any email communication sent to me about the cancellation. It turns out my credit card was reissued in between my making the reservation and their attempting to process it, but the manager I spoke with had zero empathy and offered no solution, telling me “when I have a credit card replaced I make sure I follow up with everyone”. Ultimately, she hung up on me as well when I tried to explain that I also work in a service industry and being defensive and non-apologetic, non-customer service oriented is rarely the way to appease an upset customer who was left without lodging when their flight arrived late at night. This just seems to me an inexcusable way to conduct business in the current era. Unfortunately, due to poor communication, unprofessional staff unwilling to take accountability, and poor support on-site, I cannot recommend Kramer’s to anyone. It’s really too bad because it’s an adorable place.

We never even had the chance to stay there. We booked on Trip.com, and arrived a little before check in. Only to find out check in was all done remotely. They have no one there to help you check in, answer any questions etc. We waited till check in time in hopes to receive a email with check in information, however that never came. I called the number listed over 6 times, before my fiance tried and got through. The manager claimed she tried reaching me, however couldn't confirm my phone number or E-mail. At this point it was 5pm and we booked another room elsewhere and they would not cancel my booking. Had to dispute it with my credit card company. If you are looking for good customer service, look elsewhere. Can't speak of the property itself, but felt taken advantage of and over all was a hassle.

I work swing shift and can never do my laundry because they lock it. they say u can use the free washer and dryer before you move in, but in reality you can't. I don't like liers and I was lied to by management. I would not recommend anyone to stay here. There's better rooms in the same area of Reno.
