This place is my absolute favorite. You can taste the love that the food is made with in every bite. The flavors are off the charts, ingredients are fresh and such high quality. Every time I come I’m greeted with a smile and always thanked for my order! The owner (I think) is a tall black man who’s so incredibly kind- I love supporting a small business! My go-to order: 1/2 Jollof rice and 1/2 kale at the bottom, Salmon (best I’ve ever had), carrots (if I could buy PANS OF THESE I would), corn, plantains, and spicy honey sauce!

I'd been looking forward to this visit since before it opened. The owner is one of the most unexpectedly impressive and refreshing individuals I know. The food, A1. It was delicious. Let me start with what I didn't know I would enjoy as much as I did. KALE. I don't know what they put in it, but it's yummy—perfect crunch, taste, and texture. Next, the jollof. Clearly, the chef is a grandma or aunty because, again, delicious. No spice was overwhelming. The chicken is well-seasoned and cooked to perfection. In addition to the jollof bowl, I also had a veggie bowl, which was a hit with my very picky eater husband. If you're vegan, you'll find something, vegetarians, there's food for you. Of course, for meat eaters, everything on the menu is an option. I have by-monthly meetings an hour from the restaurant (and my meeting is 4 hours from my home). Yes, I will make this 5-hour trip every other month to support this business. The owner is that amazing of a human, and the food is worth it.

Overall great experience because the food was delicious and the customer service was good! The ambiance was very nice too and the ākra Eatery fits in perfectly. Located in the Worcester Public market, it’s easily my top three places to go whenever I visit. They provide a lot of portions for worth the price. Its so well balanced with flavor and spices. Love love their beef and chicken combo with spicy honey and spicy mayo!

I was THOROUGHLY impressed with this stall in the Worcester Public Market food court. Upon the recommendation of the staff here, I got a jollof bowl, which included jollof (tomato infused) rice, plantains, coleslaw, lettuce, a sliced hard-boiled egg, and tofu (subbed for baked chicken). I'm salivating just thinking about this meal. Each piece of tofu was fat and oh-so-juicy - absolute perfection. The jollof rice was soft and had so much flavor from the spices, and the hard-boiled egg was surprisingly not dry. I absolutely loved the sauce that was generously drizzled over all the ingredients. This was my first time trying West African/Ghanaian food, and it turned out to be the best meal I've had in Worcester. Definitely would recommend!

Fantastic service with great information about all options. Salmon was cooked perfectly and was delicious. Plantains and sweet potato toppings were fantastic. Portions were very good. Definitely recommend and will go back to try other protein options and toppings soon.

Food is so good!! Never really had anything like it, I love the jollof rice bowl with chicken, veggies and spicy honey - honestly I could eat it everyday. Do your taste buds a favor and go eat this deliciousness!

Love the food and the service. It's right in the middle of the Worcester Public Market, so it's easy to find. Food is portioned very well! And it's delicious! Get the jollof and beef if you're new. Add some spicy honey. You will be satisfied and you will want to go back for more.
