Koya’s accolades are more than deserved. As soon as you step foot in the restaurant, the feel of intimacy hits you. The small yet inviting interior shows the attention to detail. We were warmly greeted by each of the staff and chefs and were welcomed with a glass of champagne as we were celebrating. Eric and Adriana’s passion for food and experience is unmatched. We greatly appreciated the knowledge that they shared throughout our meal. The food was more than just that; it was an immersive experience from being able to watch the preparations, the smells, and of course the taste and presentation. Each course was meticulously thought through with complex yet simple flavor highlighting the ingredients. Though this was a special occasion, I can see ourselves back at Koya very soon!
Excellent experience (not cheap...). Chef Eric, Sarah, and everyone else did a great job to make this unique experience. I gave 5 stars, but I am a little bit too generous since the wow factor was missing (compared to other Michellin star restaurants).
Such a great experience all around. Food is fantastic, and the interactions with the chef and staff, explaining the background of each dish, makes it that much better.
We had the most extraordinary experience at this Michelin Star restaurant. The food was exquisite and the staff were extremely knowledgeable. Chef Eric was personable and provided an intimate setting. The presentations were remarkable. A definite 2nd visit is warranted.
I’ve only been to one other omakase restaurant. This one was the best in my very limited experience. The set menu was delightful, simple but fun and I really love this type of dining. The flavors were exceptional and well curated.

Come have the best food of your life! I cannot speak more highly of the chef and his amazing partner/ sous chef. Every dish is amazing with each detail thought out. Do the pairing it's worth it.
This is, without question, a 5-star dining experience. Chef Eric and his wife and team have created a unique and intimate experience with world-class cuisine that you would only find at top end locations around the world. Tampa is incredibly lucky to have such a location. Went for the tasting menu for my friend’s birthday. Each course was artfully crafted and carefully prepared and included ingredients flown in from all over the world. The wine/sake pairings were a real treat and exposed us to new combinations. I cannot say enough great things about this experience. If you think this is going to be a budget neighborhood sushi spot, don’t go. If you truly appreciate the art of food, then you won’t find a better place in Tampa!

I absolutely love this place. Anytime I am driving through this area I always stop for it. Chicken teriyaki, extra meat, extra sauce 10$ out the door and itâs 2 meals. So good!!!!
