I hate giving bad reviews on family owned places after only one experience, but this place was on the bad side of mediocre. The pastor burrito was ok, the green sauce was bland, and the California burrito was nearly all fries and wrap and virtually no meat. Blah.

Decent little taco shop right on the thorough fair. There is a small park to the North, and a couple of people tied their dogs there while they ate. The outdoor seating area overlooks the park. There are also seating areas right against 101 as well. Nice place to people watch while you wait for your food, if that's for your thing. The food was pretty expensive, but everything in the area is similarly priced. Food was quickly made, tasted great, and very filling. Not much more you can ask for!

I have had two Fish burritos so far and my husband has had a few also. They have always been great, with a lot of fish. It is our favorite place to get Fish burritos. My husband has had the Fish & Chips burrito which he likes a lot. The Nachos Supreme is large with a lot of meat. Kotija Jr. is not a fancy place to eat, so don’t expect the people behind the counter to wait on you like a server in a restaurant. They have always been decent and friendly, so I don’t know what other reviewers are talking about when they say they are rude or have an attitude.

Ordered the Chorizo Burrito . The chorizo didn't taste like chorizo or had the texture. Wasn't very good. The place is very nice and clean. And looks like they do have good food but they don't use very good chorizo. A chorizo Burrito is so easy to make the only way to go wrong is use very cheap chorizo. I don't know why they would use cheap chorizo when it's not expensive to buy a good quality chorizo. I definitely want to try other itmes next time I'm near

I used to love this place 5 years ago. The food quality has gone downhill quite a bit. The prices have gone up quite a bit. I ordered a shredded beef taco and it was like chewing on hay. Just all tough and stringy. The flavor was not the same at all. The cheese and the enchilada was not melted. It was just a hard slice of cheese wrapped in a saucy tortilla. I gave it three stars for how good it used to be but my last visit was one star for sure. It's really a shame. It was a great spot.

Plates look good but taste is below average of any Mexican Restaurant. It’s sad because we have been here a few years ago and was very good then. No idea if the chef changed but definitely not worth the money. Carne asada was very tough to chew. The fish tasted old plus oil used to fry tasted overused if that’s the right word. I hope they pay attention to these details cos the location is great and I definitely want to see them succeed always!

The food is delicious. Extremely reasonable considering prices everywhere else. Our meals were hot, arrived quickly, were almost overly generous, well spiced, with extra sauces on the side. We enjoyed 4 different meals over 2 days. Had to go back because the first time was so good. One day lunch the next breakfast. The second time did not disappoint. We stuffed ourselves and still had leftovers. There is parking, rare in beach cities, inside and outside seating.
