I love Peruvian food and Konakai offers authentic Peruvian food. I loved the renovations, definitely elevated the restaurant, very elegant and with a really nice vibe. Food and service were great. They might need more servers, I think ours was very busy that night. We understood they're going through some changes so it was ok.

Mixed feelings. The food was amazing until the very end. There was a long piece of hair in the ceviche. No apologies from the serve though. We got a discount, they replaced the ceviche, but the experience wasn't what I expected from a good looking place like this. There was a lack of professionalism on their side, there was a manager looking man walking around and no one walked to us to apologize. At the end, a young lady brought the bill and she said something about the situation even though she wasn't involved.

My family has been coming here since 2018 and never in my years of coming here have I had such a terrible experience. I usually make pickup orders and I did so today. Usually, the wait is about 30 minutes. I arrived at the restaurant on time and was told to wait. While the long wait usually wouldn’t be a problem, it wasn’t worth it today. Who I presume to be the manager showed me the food and although it looked okay, it tasted terrible. The beef in the chaufa was burnt and the rice was largely flavorless. The tallarín saltado was dry, under seasoned, and truthfully, unpleasant. There was a hair in the fried wontons and the sauce had split. To top it all off, the pickled radish was spoiled and flavorless. Even though I was a huge fan of this restaurant, this pickup order was an absolute nightmare for the price of $56. I can no longer recommend this restaurant in good consciousness and I would rather you stay away than gamble with food with little to no, quality control.

One of the best Peruvian restaurants in town. Their quality is consistent with the owner being the executive chef. A true family business with a cosy atmosphere.

Hands down, pound for pound the BEST Peruvian restaurant. A must if you’re in the Sunrise area.

I was skeptical to come here due to all the bad reviews about customer service but we were in the mood to try some Peruvian food. We went on a Sunday and it was pretty busy. I did happen to see a sign posted that they will be taking over the space next door and expanding. This will be great for their business. Keep in mind that they don’t really exercise social distancing nor does everyone wear masks. It rubbed us a little funny, especially during this pandemic, but it is what it is. The food was tasty, and the portions were generous. Surprisingly, the best part of my whole experience here was the customer service. We were blessed with Paola who was a saint. He was very attentive to our needs, gave us great food recommendations, and was quick and courteous. We will most likely be returning to try more of their yummy, fusion flavors.

This is the best establishments on Planet! Leave your wife, leave your kids, bring your stomach… Just keep it private. Food was wonderful and service was even better! Paolo was the best waiter I’ve ever had. He was very attentive and hilarious. Also smooth with the ladies, stole my girl from me. Tip him big and tell him I sent you.
