We were traveling through town and decided to stop at Kona for lunch. We were not disappointed at all. The bar tender Bret took great care of us as we mainly got appetizers. Add a few jalapenos to the skinny margarita for a great drink of choice. Sushi was very good along with several of the apps.
This place probably should get four stars instead of three, but there is a few things that were very irritating being there. One the food was mediocre at best and the service was definitely lacking. It took forever to get drinks. Now I'm not saying we won't come back because there's definitely a chance we would. It was busy but management should be smart enough to know that when there's a football game you should staff up after the game. And there was some positives the drinks we did get were pretty decent all except for one which I believe they took off the bill.
I drove 30 minutes to pick up my to go order. I got home and opened my food, no utensils, the glazed salmon was missing the glaze, and it was cold so I went to warm it up and the salmon was completely raw on the inside. I called the restaurant 3 times with no answer. A waste of 40 dollars
Food was terrible 😢 so oily! I don’t think the chef ever changes the oil that they fry in. All 4 orders had something wrong. We should have know when walking in the place smelled like a wet rag terrible!! Chain restaurants have dropped the ball. The server was great tho he took care of the issue as best as he could, but unfortunately the kitchen is just lacking in quality for the price they charge. Hope they learn and people leave true reviews about their experience, so companies this big can check their work before serving it.
Wasn't sure what to expect. I thought it was more upscale based on location, but it was just a sports bar. Our waitress was friendly but not timely with her attentiveness. Our water glasses became empty, and the table was full of sweaty glass water that never got wiped up. We waited over an hour for our food, and items were not always accurate. For the experience, we thought it was overpriced. My son loved playing with the table tablet.
What can I say other than everything was absolutely amazing! Food was outstanding. Our server Jaime was on top of his game and provided 5 star service. Something for everyone on the menu as well. Will be back soon.
We came into Kona Grill for the first time recently while on vacation, and we had a great experience. Our server, Rachel, was prepared with great recommendations for every course, including drinks, and timed the arrival of our food perfectly. My water glass was never less than half full, and we were offered another cocktail in a timely manner - didn’t even have to ask. Restaurant was clean and inviting for my family. The menu had something for each of us. Would return next time we’re in Florida.
Ray was our waiter and he was absolutely amazing!!! Everything that he recommended was delicious. The drinks were mixed to perfection with the right amount of spirit. Not to mention, there was a live DJ and she had the music selection on point. 🙌🏾
