A simple hole in the wall spot. Kona Crust is very laid back. Just like Hawai'i. The vibe is great. And their pizza has an East Coast flare. The pizza sauce dances with a sweetness that in my opinion, compliments the toppings. Order a signature pizza. Or create your own. Like I said. Simple. And sometimes simple is just what is needed. Pizza was great. We ate later in the evening on 11/6. It was empty inside when we arrived. Pizza was cooked and on our table in less than 10 minutes. Great NY pizza on the other side of the world. Service was great
There is no better pizza in Kona than Kona Crust. It is either the top one or two spots in the entire state that I have enjoyed so far depending on how I feel at the time. So glad they are here and will continue to enjoy their food as long as they are.
Had pizza from here on 2 separate occasions on our recent trip to the island. The experience and taste was 5 star first time around. Outstanding texture and taste. The second time, they were very busy and the quality of pizza was no where close to how it was the first time. Soggy and under done. 3 star at the max. Going with 4 star for average rating.
Who knew i could find an authentic Sicilian pizza in kona that brought me back to the east coast. The sauce is outstanding which makes the pizza as far as I'm concerned. Haven't had any pizza even close to this since being in NYC. Highly recommend. Thanks for an amazing pizza!
If you’re a fan of toppings, this might not be the place for you. We got the kona supreme. We saw the picture online but the pie we got looked way different. Too bad, I’m always hopeful for the new places.
This is the closest you'll get to New York style pizza. Picked up a double pepperoni and half cheese half pepperoni. The crust was perfect, cheese was amazing. They use flour on the dough instead of corn starch which is amazing. Keep on cooking!
