I had business meetings in Ketchum and one of our owners needed a room. We miss understood each other, he thought I was asking about booking a meeting room when I was asking about a hotel room. I quickly booked a room at Knob Hill on a non refundable lowest cost deal. When we realized our mistake we asked to not take the room. Since it was prepaid, I was told I would need to visit with the manager the during daytime hours. I hadn’t had time to call and received an email asking about my experience. I filled out enough to say I didn’t use the room. I was called by a Manager who offered a full refund and was very understanding and kind!|I really appreciate Knob Hill staff and their beautiful hotel. I will be back!|Thanks
My husband and I recently stayed at this lovely Inn while visiting our son in Ketchum. It was most enjoyable! The staff were attentive, courteous and gracious. Breakfast included a buffet, eggs cooked to order and a glass of champagne to enjoy. After a long flight, the comfortable beds and bed linens helped us get a good night’s sleep. Our room had a balcony where we enjoyed our morning coffee overlooking the beautiful Sun Valley Mountains to start the day. Book a room while in Ketchum. You will not be disappointed!
What a great find. This hotel lives up to the great reviews. The staff is great and very helpful. The room was great size and very well layed out with nice amenities. The bed was comfortable and pillows were soft. My wife really enjoyed the bath salts. The bar staff was friendly. While we did not eat at the hotel, the other people at the bar said food is very good. We enjoyed the breakfast, a lite bar and cook to order items. We took advantage of the free shuttle to go downtown for dinner.
So Sad.||We were checking in on a Sunday. We arrived at 2:45 PM. (Check in is 3PM). Front desk person told us, sorry your room is not ready. Did not offer to tell us when it would be ready, did not offer to place us in another room, did nothing! I requested a manager. Was told no one else was available. I then insisted he find us another room that was ready, as we were barely 15 minutes before the official check-in time. After what seemed like forever, the desk person managed to assign us another room. In addition, we provided a different credit card then we originally reserved. Yet, after returning home I discovered the change was never made by front desk.||Additionally, an hour or so later we went into town, and stopped by the front desk on the way to ask some questions.||However, all our questions were answered as the person on duty, different from ours, was explaining to other guests checking in, where everything was, the YMCA, etc.||Quite possibly the least professional hotel check in I've ever experienced.||THE ROOM||Sad story, really, the lack of tea and coffee available. Went down to front desk to replenish the minimal starter supply. Discovered, while across the street at Lizzy's (your coffee at breakfast tasted like dirty water) she informed us that she makes Keurig cups for Knob Hill. We never saw these!||Otherwise room in fair condition, clean.||Complementary buffet||ne of the worst breakfast buffets I've experienced at a 3 star hotel.||First your web site advertises eggs made to order, but when you ask the one young gentleman, he tells you "Oh, they don't do that anymore" with a shrug of the shoulders. The muffins were almost hard as rock as they were so stale. Already covered the sad state of the coffee. Nothing available for the vegetarian or vegan. Just green scrambled eggs, bacon and sausage and potatoes. Overall awful.||OVERALL EXPERIENCE||Try training the employees that greet guests and make the first impression. Try harder at breakfast buffet, especially promoting eggs to order and not delivering. Try notifying and apologizing to guests for out of order hot tub.||||||
We went mid May to avoid the crowds. The Main Street in Ketchum is all torn up requiring a detour through the rather tight and busy downtown. The crew at the hotel are about the best you'll ever run into. Very accommodating indeed. The newly renovated rooms are very nice indeed. The pillows for ME sadly were way too huge. I prefer a thin supportive pillow like they used to have. The trick to parking is you need to be in place prior to dinner hour or there will not be any parking due to all the folks coming in for the dinner at the restaurant. If you leave to go into town for dinner good luck finding parking till like 9pm. We've been here 4 times now. The water pressure is extremely poor. If one were to want to take a shower or bath you'd wait near forever to get it done. They need to work on that. Otherwise it's a nice location in all.
This is the most wonderful hotel with the best employees. The front desk women went over the top to make sure every need was met. We did not want for anything. Whether it was a necessity or a luxury, they provided. The breakfast in the morning was exceptional and the popovers or something you will never forget. This is definitely an exceptional place to stay. You will not find front desk, workers anywhere else as good as these!
I had such a wonderful stay at Knob Hill Inn! The rooms were clean, the entire staff were so kind and accommodating, not to mention the incredible view from my room that I could enjoy each morning with a hot cup of coffee! A special thank you to Lorenza and Grace, who made the stay even more memorable! I can’t wait to stay here again!
The pictures do not do it justice. Beautiful and everyone who works there is wonderful, friendly, and helpful. Our room had a spectacular view and the bed and pillows were perfect. Ketchum Idaho is a special place and the Knob Hill Inn reflects that specialness as well. Can’t wait to go back.
This hotel is an excellent choice for families or anyone looking for a budget friendly option. Yes it's older. But the amenities more than make up for it. The rooms are on the small side, but we weren't in them much but to sleep. Refrigerator in the
We came here and had a great meal as a family. The burgers were cooked perfectly. They had a nice charbroiled flavor. The guy helping us even put the game we wanted to watch on.
YUM!! The Kneadery is a quaint, charming restaurant serving breakfast and lunch in the heart of Ketchum. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our meals and agreed it was some of the best we had in the area! We began with fresh coffee ($3.75 for unli
