On 9th September our flight got canceled and we had to look for a hotel at last minute. It cost as 1 thousand dollar for two bedroom apartment. They just used our situation otherwise there is no way this could cost 1k. It was dirty and not nice. Next night we found a luxurious clean hotel for half the price.

I booked this place 9 months before my stay and at the time a free shuttle from the airport was offered. When we landed at JFK, I called the hotel and was told there is no shuttle. Take a cab, which cost me $40. We were entitled to breakfast so when I went to collect it, the breakfast consisted of a couple packs of Quaker oats, 1 full gallon on cold milk and apple juice that tasted expired. The room had a bad odour. The bathroom had hair from the guest before. Had not been cleaned properly. The second night at about 2am, the front desk staff gave someone a keycard to come into our room. After that incident we did not sleep well, stayed at that hotel for 14 miserable nights which cost my $1498.00. The lobby is very noisy. Another place that takes in| HOMELESS people under the state housing| program. Their website calls them a hotel,| but they are really a MOTEL according to| their signage. Not safe for kids or family.| Just go to Wendy's and have breakfast its is more appetizing.|There is a very rude lady who works at the front desk, otherwise the manager seems reasonable.

This is an average budget hotel, but with some good points, and just a few bad ones. The good: excellent price for the area; free parking (limited spaces but I got one easily each night) in a well-lighted lot adjacent to the front of the hotel; walking distance to anything you want to buy (and a bunch of stuff you might not want to buy!) The bad: a couple of minor things - Upon entering the room, the first thing I saw was a mouse bait station positioned just inside the door. I never saw any mice, and I inspected the room for signs of mice (droppings, etc.) and found none. I just made sure I didn't leave them any snacks, as I kept them all in the refrigerator; the desk chair (which is the only chair in the room) was broken so I asked for another. I had to ask twice, and when I got a replacement it was better than the first one, but still broken. I asked the next day and was told they were all broken. It's tough to sit and read, or work at the desk, when the chair's broken. Housekeeping was sufficient, and everything worked, so overall, a decent budget stay. I will stay here again if I'm in the area, though I may bring my own chair! ||The neighborhood: not the best part of town, perhaps, but I walked a mile or two every afternoon, and had no problems with anyone. My car was not bothered, either, during my 4 day stay.

We had a really bad experience in this hotel. I understand you get what you paid for but in this situation the hotel lied. I called the hotel to find out if they have complimentary shuttle to JFK, they said yes. We arrived at the lobby only to find out that they no longer have shuttle bus because of new management and they had no plan for customers who already paid. That’s to tell you that the new management is heading the wrong way. We had to pay for cab in the morning. Room quality, was 2 out of 10. There was a crazy noise on the 2nd floor all night. Elevator was bad; you will end up dragging your bags on the stairs. Guest service was 7 out of 10. The overall experience with this hotel is 2 out of 10 and I won’t recommend this hotel to anyone.

We were on a long layover from jfk and it was the only hotel available for that night. We arrived at about 9pm. The man at the service desk was rude and didn’t talk to us he sent us to a floor and honestly I was terrified. The man in the lift stared at us the whole way up and I was really frightened. The door to our room was wedged shut and it took us ages to open it which was bad as the hallways were scary to be in. When we eventually got in my husband wedged chairs, drawers, and everything he could find against that door as people were banging on it all night. We left at 4am the next morning as we were very concerned for our safety. The area is rough and they’re were sirens and shouting and possibly even gun shots. A police car pulled my family over and told us to get inside as it was not safe for us to be out. This explains how scary the place was!! Please do not stay here the rooms were dirty and the room smelled like mold. Please do not stay here for your own safety. I’d prefer to sleep at the airport!!

So why a 5 star rating?|Location & staff. Here alone but I feel well care for. Plus it's clean! And very close to the airport. All the services I need within walking distance. I felt the staff was friendly and helpful and though basic, the room is adequate for my needs of an overnight layover.
