We had some time to kill so we stopped off at Kiwanis Park , it was really calm that morning we were the only ones at the park , toddler parents beware 2 of the slides are VERY high up their but my 2.5 year old LOVED going down them even if it did scare me being that high up! Overall an amazing park & we will go back again 🥰

A nice park with limited parking on Merritt Island, Florida This park is easy to find as it is nestled in the heart of Merritt Island, Florida. Kiwanis Park stands as a hidden gem, offering a serene and picturesque setting for outdoor enthusiasts of all ages. It serves many different outdoor enthusiasts. It has a boat ramp, ball fields, tennis courts, and a large pavilion. Nature lovers will appreciate the park's close proximity to the Indian River, which offers breathtaking views and opportunities for fishing, kayaking, and birdwatching. The calming waters and the gentle breeze create a perfect environment to unwind and connect with nature. This park also provides essential facilities such as clean restrooms, and picnic areas with barbecue grills making it convenient for visitors to spend a full day enjoying outdoor activities with family and friends. One of the major drawbacks that I noticed was limited parking. If the ball fields and pavilion are both in use you may have trouble finding a spot or you may have to line the roadway. In conclusion, Kiwanis Park in Merritt Island, Florida, offers a delightful escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. With its natural beauty, diverse recreational opportunities, and family-friendly facilities, the park is a haven for relaxation, play, and connection with nature. Whether you seek a peaceful stroll, a friendly sports match, or a tranquil picnic by the river, Kiwanis Park is a good choice in the area.

The waters around this island are great to see the bioluminescence. Took a tour with BK adventures in their clear kayaks and had a great experience. Make sure to bring bug spray if your visiting this park at night as the mosquitoes are unbearable.

Awful. Bathrooms are locked. No place to safely just look at the water. Overgrown trees can't see the river. No dogs allowed posted everywhere. Looks like it is just for baseball or tennis. There's a boat launch if you need that. Very small. Not a place to go just to be in nature. There's a community center with a bathroom. And tons of asphalt and concrete parking

I like launching my kayak here. Saw a dolphin while paddling around.

Great place to go with kids for a picnic or just a walk, or playground fun. Fresh air and nice breeze. Unfortunately dogs are not allowed. Our German Shepherd would love to swim in little beaches here. Loved a big pavilion with bats. They are so cute and you can hear them singing

The park is very nice. We went to see the bioluminescence. We were able to see some of the bioluminescence from the boat ramp dock.

Went rafting to see Bioluminescence in water. It was beautiful and wonderful experience. The water is both salt and fresh water. Home to plenty of fish, jelly fish, occasionally manatee and an alegator or two.
