Kirk Family YMCA - Gym in Kansas City - 222 W 11th St, USA

The staff is super friendly and upbeat. The facility has a wide variety of equipment & group classes. Highly recommend Brynn as a personal trainer! Her expertise has increased my technique & gains. Occasionally, cooling issues in a few of the class rooms but that has not affected the rest of the gym. This location is convenient & Y's are so economical compared to other gyms with pool decks.

Prime location near Marriot Hotel downtown KCMO. Impressed on how clean it is and very family friendly. Lots of gym equipment!

This is a very nice work out place with wonderful staff and many different classes! You can’t ever so no to this place. I yet to try water exercises!

Nice enough gym, however, they close early at 8pm and worse, close the pool a half hour earlier at 7:30. If my day runs late I'm reduced to a 45 minute workout or no pool time??!! The staff is great and the location is central to downtown.... Could have made this work if the gym and pool were open until at least 9pm! Just sayin.. Oh, great walking track on the top floor!!

I love the building style - one that you wouldn't expect a gym to be in but the architecture is so refreshing. Every single instructor and staff person has been so courteous and patient as I'm new back into the gym. Every single instructor I've had so far has been so nice about providing modifications and accommodations and it's a very low-pressure environment in general!

I love traveling around the country and visiting different YMCA's. This one is a must see! Set right down down Kansas City the building has been renovated and looks and feels inviting. The amenities were incredible, including the steam room and sauna. The gym had everything we needed for our workout and the staff was friendly. This location is very clean and seemingly managed well. Hope I get to go back soon!

Kirk Family Y is a great place to workout if you go at the right times. The last few times I've been there have been increasing amounts of weights not put back and or not in the right places. There are dress code rules which the staff doesn't seem to enforce, and they let people walk through the pool into the sauna wearing their sweaty workout gear and shoes. The daycare they have on sight is a wonderful feature and most of the nannies are good at their job, but it does seem that the area goes good stretches of time without being deep cleaned. Our daughter usually comes back to us with black socks and black knees on her pants.
