Baby wanted dinner and I said let's do dinner somewhere we have eaten. I made a mistake 😞 choosing this establishment. The atmosphere at kinza is well designed. The service was not up standard our was a foreign national who spoke very little English. I requested a glass of water and a glass of the house Merlot wine. The wine was a complete and utter miss. I ordered the kinza house signature fried rice which would have been a simple house fried rice at any other restaurant serving Asian cuisine. The shrimp in my dish was diced up not one whole shrimp as well as overcooked. My love ordered the filet mignon with shrimp and fried rice. Her steak had been cut into little chunks resembling beef stew chunks. Her shrimp were also overcooked to the point she didn't want to eat them. She said the best part of her meal was the Miso soup 🍲. Otherwise her salad had too much salad dressing.
Always quiet, food is good. This time got the Dothan Roll and the Sunburst roll
The good: service was prompt at first and the soup was really hot and flavourful. The bad: ordered the spicy salmon and as soon as it was within a couple of feet the overpowering smell of fish hit. I took apart the roll. The nori was flimsy with no crispness, and the Salmon was discoloured with streaks of white running through it, that looked like the natural white striations had blurred and turned to jelly. and smelled of heavy fish. I pressed it and it didn’t spring back leaving a fingerprint, and it was just a little below room temp. I don’t know if they pre do the rolls or what, but I did let the lady at the counter know the fish wasn’t fresh and shouldn’t be in a roll. She said it couldn’t possibly be old because they change the fish everyday. I paid as I had ordered it, but will not return.
Our first time here. The food was good, and the service was good. There is a decent amount of deferred maintenance in the dining area (ripped seats, etc.).
Fast, professional service. Food is definitely worth a try! I honestly didn't like it my first time but once I discovered their dinner menu, I have been a repeat customer! Definitely 5☆s! I recommend the Hibachi Steak and Shrimp!
Great sushi, excellent customer service! You definitely need to try this place!
Food was not bad. Atmosphere was not great. I like dark but it felt dingy. Checked out the sushi bar and the floor was sticky. Clean bathrooms and the kitchen looked clean.
Not sure if the waitress knew the menu or that spicy tuna was the same whether in a hand roll or rice roll but was told that they were out of spicy tuna handroll but had it in riceroll.
Overall, will stick with my normal sushi place. Not bad, just not what I want.
Excellent staff. Food was as ordered and taste great. Nice environment for a quiet lunch.
Absolutely love this place!!! Food is always fresh and on point!! Haven't had anything yet that wasn't perfect!! Izzy is our go-to waitress and she is always awesome!!
Absolutely amazing service and pastries. My husband were in town for a few days and ended up going three mornings in a row! We loved the scones! So soft and fluffy with great flavors! Blueberry, raspberry white chocolate, and Apple Cinnamon. A great
I visit the Thirsty Pig on Friday evenings when they have live music!
Itâs such a great time and they are family friendly for all ages!
They also have trivia night during the weekdays.
Pizza by the slice through the drive-through- yes please !! Veggie and cheese- service was super quick- staff was very friendly! Hours are a hit and miss but you know they are always open by the cars in the parking lot !! 10/10 !!!
This is without a doubt the friendliest restaurant in all our travels. The staff went out of their way to make us feel welcomed and taken care of from drinks to dessert!
This is now our favorite when we travel through the area.
Thank you to the staff

In my opinion the best establishments, are discovered by word of mouth and everyone I asked in Dothan told me to check out this restaurant.
The food is served cafeteria style and you can choose the classic southern plate of one meat with three sides
I take my son every year for his birthday and a couple more times with the family throughout the year! Never gets old and is so unbelievably fun! My son is only 3, and no matter the age, this place is where they can go to get ALOT of energy out and j
The Sugar Shack was great yesterday! My husband had 3 piece fried fish and I had a fried pork chop sandwich. The music, drinks, customer service and vibes were awesome. Only minor complaint was the the lettuce wasnât chopped well in the salad. Also
