I LOVE THIS PARK! I’ve been here on hikes and walks before, but I finally got my mountain bike restored (after many years of not using it), and today was my first spin. It was perfect!! I warmed up on the flat “Munchkin” trails on the sides, then stayed on green trails the rest of the time, ending with a very steep but rideable hill down the main Farm Road trail. I’m beaming. I’ve found a new happy place in Peoria. :)

This was my first time out at Kinsey Park and I already can't wait to go back! Trails were very well maintained, no fallen trees in any of the paths, not too wide, and not too narrow. I rode the west half of the trails and there were trails for every rider from beginner (Emerald Forrest) to the more advanced rider (Flying Monkeys). I like that for the most part all the trails are clearly marked (there was one or two missing signs though). I also appreciate that the farm road runs right through the middle so if you get injured or tired and need to get out quick you can do so. All in all I would recommend to anyone!

My new favorite place. It feels very different from other Peoria area parks. Great for either hiking or biking!

Hadn’t biked out on a trail since my early teens. Now in my mid 30s I was looking to get into Mt. biking. Great place to start. Well mapped with trails that are great for beginners & intermediate riders. Easy to navigate.

Well marked trails. Excited to explore the park. Saw several deer. Few people.

Kinsey Park is a wonderful network of trails developed by the Peoria Area Mountain Bike Association (PAMBA) for the Peoria Park District. It's largely single-track routes with trails cleverly named for things related to The Wizard of Oz. Very fun. There is probably 7-8 miles of trails at this time, and seemingly more in progress all the time. There are very easy routes, and more technical and difficult ones. PAMBA should be applauded for their efforts in developing this park!

Great mountain biking trails through the woods and by a creek; both beginner and intermediate level trails. A very well maintained and taken care of park. Thought it was interesting that the trail names loosely follow a Wizard of 'Oz theme. Driveway can be difficult to see and easily missed from the road though, so look close! 10/10 Absolutely worth a ride! 😁🚵‍♂️

We love Detweiller Park! They have some nice hiking trails. There is a park close to a pavilion with a restroom close by. They have a sled hill in the winter for families to enjoy. There is a large field for soccer games, cross country meets, etc.

A lovely park with a covered picnic area, play ground, a few short trails, and a fishing pond with multiple piers. Great place to have a picnic or go for a stroll.
