Kings Rest Motel - Motel in St. Petersburg - 7330 4th St N, USA

I called the motel ahead of my arrival to ask what is the cost for a 1 person for 1 night. The elderly gentleman on the phone said $25. I asked him if there’s any additional fees or is the cost $25 for 1 night for a single person. He said the cost is $25 and it’s all inclusive and taxes. When I arrived at the motel, I told him we just spoke on the phone a few minutes ago and he quoted me $25 for a night’s stay. At the door he quoted me $75 for 1 person for 1 night. I was surprised. I told him he quoted me $25 a few minutes ago and now it’s $75. He said yes. So, I walked away and drove off.

Owner is out of this world nice! Very accommodating. Im in between homes and have had to stay over a month. This guy has made my stay comfortable. Rooms are a bit rundown but plenty of hot water, super comfortable bed and NO bugs! Full sized refrigerator. Live out of a microwave... Near in-between everything in St. Pete.

Small and a little outdated (obviously it's an older property) but very clean and well kept. We were very grateful for this place seeing how my friend had to evacuate because of Hurricane Mathew. Management was very kind to her and very accommodating. Yes it is cash only but it was fine since we knew in advance.

I appreciated the late night rental after passing a few other places. I felt safe being a little closer to town. Luckily I had cash since it is a cash only place. It was a little stuffy and low budget, but it was what I needed. The owner made it especially inviting after coming home from his birthday celebration.

I had a relative stay here for a little while. $300+ a week for a tiny room with a mini fridge, a microwave, an old CRT TV and an atmosphere that just screams "Hey I'm pretty sure you probably won't catch anything from staying here." The reason it's two stars and not one is because as far as hitting rock bottom goes this place is like landing in the mud. When whatever your circumstances are have left you with little other choice, these people will gladly take your cash, pretty much no matter who you are. Giving you a kinda functional and kinda clean roof over your head while you try to point your life in a new direction. Good luck out there.

Tried to make a reservation a month before our trip but was told they only accept reservations a week before the arrival date. Called 5 days before our arrival and was told they don't take take reservations. When I attempted to get an explantion, the individual cut me off and shouted "we don't take reservations, goodbye", then hung up. If that's how they treat potential customers, I can't imagine how poorly they treat actual guests. I prefer not to do business with jerks!

The room was trashy , the management was rude! You couldn't use the microwave without turning a/c off! Looked like the room hadn't been cleaned in quite some time! Stayed 2 days, only because we were having a hard time!! Will never stay here again! Only drug addicts would stay here any longer!!!!

The room was satisfactory for our purposes. Service was a bit lacking and slightly rude. We ordered food from a nearby chinese food restaurant and found it difficult to give them our address, as there was nothing in the room with the address on it?? We were not given the WiFi password which made it difficult to find the address also...
