I had been wanting to visit King Ranch Saddle Shop since seeing it in one of the Texas travel shows. They didn’t open until 10am so I killed some time walking around town and it definitely wasn’t worth the wait.
The quality of items was average compared to other western shops and I was disappointed to see so many imported items. There are family run US businesses selling much higher quality leather goods at a much lower cost.
I expected the King Ranch name and logo to command a higher price, but I think this is excessive.
I most definitely wouldn’t waste time going back and certainly wouldn’t recommend making a special trip like I did.
The shop saddle making is the central focus of the store. You could purchase boots, hats, shirts, etc. In a western style.
A fun and "wild" place to be! So many neat things about the Saddle Shop--atmosphere is amazing. Permanent and pertinent decor is so fun. Nice to see a few more things 'Made in the USA' (not always the case but should be for a shop--and prices--like this.) Glad for this! A fun place and so unique!
Valley Girls have visited Kingsville several times first time to the store. Staff is down to earth friendly and helpful, and if needed they will model or assist you in buying the correct size
We had a great time at ranch hand breakfast and festival !
As soon as I walked through the door, the first thing I noticed was that wonderful aroma - Fresh Leather! KRSS has a great selection of a wide variety of clothing and accessories, hats and boots! Miranda answered a few questions for us and she was very helpful. We had a great conversation with her. Then we picked up a couple of their catalogs and found a very good article explaining how the King Ranch has always been "committed to sustainable agriculture not simply because (they) support it, but because (they) live it every day." This was no surprise to me, because I've felt the impact of the King Ranch influence since 1984, when I lived in Kingsville. Since then I've been intrigued by history and leadership, I'm fairly certain they are fulfilling the vision and dream of Captain Richard King nearly 175 years since he founded the King Ranch. Well done.
Excellent website and collections of King Ranch Official Saddles and everything country. I used to get to visit the Ranch when I was young, with our friends Steve and Laura Cavazos. I loved getting to visit the huge Quarter Horses. Many people don't know that The King Ranch had a TRIPLE CROWN WINNER "ASSAULT".
A great place to browse. Super cool stuff. Highly expensive. Um, no real saddle selection to speak of and no tack. This is an extravagant gift shop! Right in the heart of historic downtown Kingsville.

So sad the last few reviews were so anonymous. The management was recently replaced by the owners and it appears they are trying to disparage the new staff who they never met. I have lived here for two years and the new staff is a breath of fresh a
We were supposed to have a beach day, but our rental car broke. So we walked to Los Hermanos Flores Park to the splash pad so the kids could have a bit of fun.
What a great park! The kids enjoyed the splash pad emensely.
Stopped in spending the night for the Rattlesnake Roundup in Freer. Decided to see what Nuckyâs was all about.
Very cool place with live music and food. The waitresses were on point all on duty came around to your table like clockwork! Be sure to
This restaurant has some of the most flavorful fajita plates in town. Hands down best cheese enchiladas. Every time I try a different menu item, I'm never disappointed. I've had several friends say they weren't aware it was an actual restaurant, jus

We were a large family after a funeral. Miguel took care of our table, the pork chop plate was juicy and well served. Staff was truly overwhelmed but they managed and they did a phenomenal job with the amount of family that showed up. Way over 50fami
Had everything I needed. I just wish they would go back to the regular. Check outs I don't like having to remember if I scanned the item or not then bagging it and then loading it. I like it when they do the work and not me. Maybe that way the
