King is my favorite restaurant in the whole world. The food is always exceptional, service is impeccable and the wine list is just perfect. I wish I could come in everyday.

Small menu that changes constantly, delicious, with a cozy atmosphere and great service!

When we walked in the hostess was on the phone. We waited 5-7 minutes while she chatted on the phone in order to be seated. Really rude. The steak was incredibly tough, the fish tasteless. We did like the chick pea fried sticks… very creative. They need to have a talk with whoever sells them their meat. Honestly was too bad. We did read mixed reviews and wanted to give it a chance. I’m sorry it didn’t measure up.

My partner and I visited King for the first time this past weekend. Our experience started out well, getting worse as it went on and ended in disaster. Our cocktails at the bar were very, very tasty! Once we were seated, our server was lovely and attentive (although forgot our bread). We had one lovely small bite starter, a puff pastry with pumpkin style puree "Tarte a la Courge". The appetizers were okay at best, the orecchiette that was much too al dente for our taste, where it tastes like flour without much else in terms of flavor aside from a slightly pleasant bitter green. Poached ox-tongue was mildly interesting but was totally lost on the plate - the star ended up being perfectly boiled and seasoned potatoes, which is SO boring for a dish I was looking forward to. I thought the rabbit was cooked well but I did not like the rest of the flavors on the plate at all. There was a strange sweet-burnt flavour on the onions and vegetables that I couldn't pin. The Skate was mediocre and filled with bones (if that kind of thing turns you off - I cared more about the lack of flavor). Last but not least, and the worst of all - there was a special Tarte Tatin on the menu that we were very excited about. This was one of the worst desserts my partner and I have ever had. The texture was grainy and mushy with no evidence of fruit, it was massive, and worst of all, tasted like burned-irony-caramel, it was inedibly bitter and we had to send it back. Unfortunately, it's very unlikely that we'll return.

We ate here early on Saturday night, not too busy, but it filled quickly. I would say the food was very good. My husband had sea bass which was well prepared with an ultra smooth mashed potato. I had the hanger steak, very good, and a delicious sweet potato tian. The treacle tart was nice, not too sweet given the main ingredient. But please tell me why restaurants that charge vast quantities of money for their food think it’s okay to give you such a mean pour of wine, I find this habit to be very aggravating. I mean is another ounce or two going to wreck your bottom line. It’s insulting.

Great service and lovely atmosphere. The cocktails and appetizers were the stars for us- the entrees felt a little lost in themselves. I had the steak and it was very well cooked, seasoned perfectly, and delicious. The monkfish was unexpected as it was a thin filet served with a large portion of cooked fennel. The dish was simply fine- but for the price and promise you expect something more. At the end of the day, king is a wonderful place to enjoy a nice meal with great service and a nice ambiance. The menu is small and changed frequently, worth returning.

This was a real disappointment...Having followed King and the owner chefs for some time on social media, the reality of dinner left our group just totally underwhelmed. The starters were unremarkable (poached ox tongue and scallops) while the mains were served cold. My pork chop was overly fatty and chewy whilst our friend's steak was grissly and overcooked. My husband's fish was tasteless. Sadly, the sub-par quality of the ingredients was obvious. Management should really audit the whole dining experience, which just comes up so disappointingly short in so many (fixable) ways.
