Overall, the hotel was good. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. The location was great for walking to the events that were going on in the city over the weekend. For a "luxury" hotel the rooms left something to be desired. The room looked run down and worn out. The armchair had holes and stains. The dresser/wardrobe was scratched an dented, the matress had a pretty substantial divot on one side. The value was not worth it in my opinion. We were placed in a room right off of the elevators and the noise level was quite high from people coming and going. The elevator area had a terrible echo and made voices carry. The walls were not very thick, we could hear the television in the rooms next to us when they were on. The rooftop bar had a large line outside the front door on Saturday evening upon our return, so we went down the street to get drinks. It seemed that this may be because the rooftop bar was the only place in the area open late.

The place was chic and cute! The Outsider (rooftop bar) was a great place to grab some drinks. The hotel also does a cute little happy hour with complimentary beer and wine - which was really nice. Our valet, Treal, was awesome and provided amazing customer service. I would stay here again.

My husband & I had the pleasure of spending our 3 yr anniversary here last week for a couple nights and I can't stop thinking about how WONDERFUL this stay was! The entire time there, the employees were extremely courteous and friendly! We had a delicious breakfast in their main restaurant, had cocktails w/ stacks on the rooftop and please take advantage of the 5-6pm happy hour to try some drinks & meet other guests! I do have to share, the mattress in our room was the most comfortable mattress (& pillows) I have ever slept on with all the traveling I've personally done! The hotel is perfectly located off to the side of all the walkable market/restaurants/shops so wasn't too noisy with traffic either! Will 100% be back in the future!

Valeted my car here to park while I went to a show at AmFam and the experience was top notch start to finish. All the valet employees were professional and friendly, I like that I could go straight in to use the bathroom after driving in from Chicago. And the hourly parking rates are very fair. I could have tried to mess with street parking but the added benefits of having the hotel ”watch” my vehicle and a safe spot to use washroom, sit in lobby if needed was such a great and needed bonus for my use.

We stayed at the hotel because we were traveling 4 hours away for a concert. Check-in was at 3 we arrived early but since they were booked the previous night no early check-in...no problem, we went out for lunch and checked out some shops. We returned at check-In time and were told they were not ready it would be 15-30 minute wait, we waited in the lobby for 45 minutes as other guests arrived and were told the same but given tickets to the roof top bar. I approached the desk asked for tickets and estimate on room explaining we needed to get ready in time for concert....3 women!! Yes we will text you when ready....another hour passes! It is now almost 5. Rooftop bar is packed not enough seats for everyone who is sent up there. Return to desk to hear an employee tell a guest.."sorry we just don't even have time to text people we are so busy" Finally up to the desk again and I say...We need our room. She says did you get a text...really??? You just told someone you don't have time!! 2 hours past check in...2 hours before the start of our event!!! $435 was what I paid to not even have full access to room as expected!! I even offered to be okay with a room that they could come back and finish cleaning after we got ready. Very disappointing for the price!!

What really impressed me about the Kimpton Journeyman Hotel in Milwaukee was the incredibly attentive, kind, thoughtful, and helpful staff. I'm talking specifically about the men handling valet service. Often overlooked, they serve as fantastic ambassadors for this hotel and make that first impression a terrific one. They helped us whenever we needed assistance, and always did so promptly and with a smile. Many thanks for making our experience so wonderful!!

I brought my business partners here, and the experience was far below expectations. We waited over 30 minutes just for our drinks, and when we decided to do a round before leaving, we stood at the bar for an unacceptable amount of time with no other customers in sight. The bartenders were more interested in chatting with each other at the server well than serving us. The $15 per shot price is steep, but the lack of service was even worse. This was an embarrassing experience in front of my business partners. Do better with your staff. I won’t be returning, and I willl not recommend this place moving forward to any business partners, family, friends etc…

We decided to stay here for our 15th anniversary. The hotel was super clean, friendly staff and in a great area! If you stay here, there are plenty of food options within a 5 min walk! Would definitely stay here again! The king suite with the soaking tub was nice after a day of exploring the area!
