Ok. So. We are are dealing with a ghetto hotel. BUT this is clearly a family owned establishment undergoing improvements. The facilities were adequate. The water was hot. The doors locked. I'm giving this hotel 4* because i was treated VERY well, the owners (?) Were wonderful, and I was happy to have a safe bed. Now, if you're passing through this is not the kind of place I'd bring your kids. You're gonna have a lot to explain with the local community, but in my stay I met and spoke with a few random persons and even the local homeless were kind and considerate. Huge perks: everything you need is in walking distance.
Though this hotel is well worn everything in the room was clean and worked. It's not the best area, but I had no issues or concerns. While not glamorous this is definitely a safe, cheap option.
This place was disgusting! No coffee maker, no TV remote, no toilet paper! When I asked for toilet paper &a partial refund bc there was so much black mold we couldn't possibly shower there, the woman hastily handed me a roll .As we were hurrying to leave the police showed up asking me what the problem was!
It was alright for the price, a place to lay your head at any rate. Every single time we left the room others staying there was constantly hitting us up for money and cigarettes going so far as to follow us to our truck. The room also smelled extremely strong with weed. Wouldn't stay there again.
Stopped here because we evacuated from hurricane Michael. At first glance it didn't seem too bad but, I was very wrong. The room was really bad.Only one light worked in the whole room, bathroom had mold on the ceiling, and the tv was either in Spanish or no sound at all. We were only here maybe three hours but, it was probably the most uncomfortable 3 hrs of my life. The area around the hotel is full of beggars and random people who looked like they were scouting the cars in the parking lot to break in once it got dark. I let front desk know about the people and nothing was done so me and my wife left. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place like the plague if you value your belongings and personal safety.
7/26/18 Room just ok. Staff is pleasant and nice. No ice machine. Quite a few street people and drug addicts. Not very relaxing. I needed out of the heat for a semi- truck repair and pets are allowed with $10 deposit.
Have stayed in several budget motels but this was about the nicest. Clean room, a/c worked and was quiet. "Continental breakfast" - thought people would be up by 8 am but guess not - had to wait on coffee (horrible) but at least was offered a 2 pack of muffins.
We made a late overnight stop here recently, and we were pleasantly surised how quiet and clean our room was. Even the airxonditioner was quiet. There are quite a few hotels at this exit, and we felt fortunate to have selected this one. No, it's not the Westin 4 star, but its a very good value for any part of the country.
