So easy to be on and off the docks here. Port security uses facial recognition but ship is close and easily accessible to town. Most tourist things are right off the ship in easy walking distance. Hit Mount Roberts Tram early or the lines get long! Lots of shopping and restaurants at the docks. Also a series of totems if thats your pleasure.
Huge shopping area downtown right off the cruise ship terminal. Take time to look at all the shops before you buy because some do have lower prices on items. Short walk thru town to creek street and up to the fish ladder. Be aware not to many public restrooms, the docks, museum and library are the only ones.
We loved this stop. #1 Juneau was our only excursion. We did a 2 mile hike to the Glacier/waterfall. Beautiful foliage and a nice foot path. Very nice experience, even if you have bad knees and bad backs. It was worth the added aches and pain. Lol, truly it was.
Nice place. Bring an umbrella just in case. Don’t forget to visit nearby Creek Street and the totem park

Very cute little town, most everything is within short walking distance. Lots of shops selling tourist junk but if you go to the right ones, you can find some really special gems.
I took my 1st photo lesson in Ketchakan Alaska! I've always loved photography. They showed us some cool features on our phone settings to enhance our photos and make them more interesting. The guides are very down to earth and knowledgeable. Great experience!☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆
Our visit to the docks was cut short by rain and wind, which is a typical day in ketchikan. I'm already considering a trip back to this wondrous port for living and hiking.
You can't help but love Ketchikan and its iconic statue. It's one of my favorite places to be rain or shine. This time, it was shine, though windy and cold. Perfect for a day in Ketchikan.
A woman owned business with unique locally designed apparel, candles, incense, and other goods. This was such a breath of fresh air over the cookie cutter T-Shirt/hoodie designs in souvenir shops from our 3 previous port visits on our cruise.

Beautiful lake! You can get a free shuttle to downtown from the cruise ship port, and then itâs a long and pretty steep incline walk through some neighbourhoods to the trail head. Thatâs the hardest part done! Only then a very short steep walk an
This hole in the whole was a perfect spot to grab a few drinks and have a cigar right on the back patio overlooking the water. Friendly staff and a full bar. Leave a dollar!
Was tough, harder than I expected. Hiking from sea level up to 900+ m would be fine, but last 250 m of height was in snow (June 7).
Trail was 1 to 2 meters below the snow so it did not help too much :-). In some areas it was so steep that I grabbed t
We were in Ketchikan port for the day and rented a car. We lucked out with a beautiful day. Ketchikan is known to be one of the wettest areas in Alaska. We wanted to go as far away from the crowds and this was at the end of the main road. This is
Great find! We tried the oatmeal cream and gingersnap cookies, and the blueberry muffin. They were all delicious and the lattes were so good too! Would definitely come back if Iâm in the area again.
Very beautiful hike that is not far from town. I took an uber to get to the far end of the trail by the college and then it's an easy walk back to town from the closer end of the trail.
