It is a great trail to ride and fly my drone.

Very nice bike trail! I wish my town had the foresight to build something like this for the community! My wife and I drove over from Santa Maria to ride this trail. It was surprisingly nice. We started at Ming Lake and rode west to Hart Lake Park and then into Bakersfield. The trail is a paved 2-lane that meanders along the Kern River and some of the canals running off the river. There is water in the river almost back to Bakersfield, then the trail runs along the dry riverbed.

The Denise Ave parking lot entrance off Manor St. seems to be closed at random times. I waste gas on these days driving up to the locked gate. There are no signs describing when the gate is open. I go there when the park is open between 5am and 10pm according to online. Does anyone know when the gate is open!?!?

Awesome place to ride my bike. I work 50 hours Monday thru Friday just thinking of my bike ride on Saturday and Sunday. Very relaxing and I would recommend more coming out to exercise. GOD is good 🙏.

Lots of trails to pick from. By the river, on the mountains or bike path too. I always enjoy myself there.

It was such a lovely ride even though there was no river. Only thing that was sad was all the homeless encampments. Bleh

I'm not from bakersfield but seeing this place was magical, the ducks being fed by people, the beauty of the area was honestly breath-taking. It was very lovely experience and I plan to come back with my little family.

We had a great time playing at the Spray park with my 3 year old daughter. It is pretty busy during the weekend. There is always a birthday party 🎈🎉🎈🎉 going on so I think people must reserve the place. Great place to bring your little one

Stopped for dinner in Bakersfield on our way to San Jose. We enjoyed some pupusas - shrimp for hubby & loroco (squash flower) for me. The chicken tamal was very fluffy and had more of a spongy texture. The plantain empanadas were very rich and creamy
