Kenwood Dog Park - Dog park in St. Petersburg - 401 20th St N, USA

Great big park 50-200' wide and 100' yds long. Lots of seating areas. A regular local keeps up on filling water jugs and puts them around at sitting areas. It's a bit loud because of the overpass. But it's got lots of friendly locals. You can hose your dog off before you exit. #embarkingwithmig

It's an okay dog park. There is a lot of dog poop on the ground, people don't pick up after their dog here and I think it's because they don't provide free bags. So if you go here bring your own doggy bags! It's half dirt and half grass. It's very loud here because it's under two different over passes. However, it's conveniently located, they have parking, so I go here when I don't have time to go down to the one by the water. They do have picnic tables so you could bring your lunch while your pup plays.

a very large dog park which is nice but sparce in green grass. I gave it a 3 star for where it is located. Underneath the highway...why is that many dog parks are located neat or underneath the highway. I found that the dogs there were very subdued. often when I enter many dog park dogs are very eager to greet you...this was not the case at Kenwood dog park. the loud highway noise causes discomfort in my dog. i surmise that the dogs there were stressed from the highway and hence lack of dog greetings.

This was our first time at any dog park. It was shady and had lots of room for my dogs to run off leash. They had so much fun. We'll definitely visit again.

This dog park is pretty conveniently located close to where I live. So it gets extra points for that, but its not my favorite spot to bring my dog. It has a lot of space for them to run around in so that’s a big plus. However its located under the highway and can be a bit noisy which can bother my pup sometimes. That and there is usually litter lying around somewhere as well. So its not the cleanest dog park either. Overall the people I’ve ran into there are great though and again its got a lot of space for them to run in.

Large play areas for both small and large dogs. Plenty of picnic tables and benches for seating. Covered areas and trees for shade. Not many waste bag stations or watering stations and watering stations were dirty & barely working. Loved the dog murals!

Lots of space and lots of doggies! They have small kiddie pools that you can fill up if you'd like and plenty of places to drink and relax in the shade on a hot day, also the local dogs there seemed to be well socialized and very friendly.🩷

One of our favorite local parks! The area is large, shaded, and clean. Bags are provided most of the time near the front entrance of the park. People in the community have donated old gallon jugs so that people can carry in water, which is pretty neat. I recommend this park for anyone whose dog loves to play fetch and run for miles. It tends to get pretty busy around sunset and in the early mornings, but during the day it is often empty. Since the park is located under an overpass on a busy intersection, it is not good for dogs with fears of cars, honking, and other street noise.
