Amazing place and awesome historical importance. This is a must go to place to learn of history. Strongly recommend paying for a guided tour. Stepping into this place is like stepping into history. A must stop for anyone visiting Louisiana!
I loved the tour guides! They were knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. This was my first plantation tour and won't be my last. I loved the little gift shop as well. Great preserved artifacts. Thank you ladies!

My husband and I were traveling through Alexandria, and decided to visit Kent House. Our guides were fun, friendly, and knowledgeable. I saw a few things here that I have not seen before. The house had quite a few original furnishings, pictures, and documents. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit, and would definitely recommend.
Kent Plantation is a good place to stop in and get some brief (1.5 hours) history on a family plantation. Has a public restroom and gift shop. Though the gift shop is small, it does have a few items. There are several buildings on the property and not very far off the main drag. Like maybe a block or so. City has just grown up around it. My only complaint and it's not really even a complaint. The guide should brush up on her civil war history that effected the area at that time. There are some prominent battles that took place in the days before Alexandria burned. Would be intriguing to know how the house managed not to be touched but the other buildings burned.
October 2022. Tour of home was detailed. Learned plenty from tour guide. Very informative. Nice to see original parts of home as compared to current condition. Driveway is a little tight for big RV rigs but parking space is open once you get into the back area. Clean restrooms and cold drinks available. Nice and fun souvenirs are also available.
Very knowledgeable guide. Takes aboute 1 houre, so its effective and condensed. Highly recommended.
All the stuff are very nice and friendly. I also donated my old household items and they are thankful of it.
Enjoyed this tour of the plantation house very much. So much of the furniture and inventory is original. About a 2 hour tour of the home and outbuildings.
