This place is so worth stopping in for, there is so much to look at from fossils, arrowheads, rocks and all kinds of tourism buys. The prices I believe are pretty reasonable and the owner is super nice. The facility is clean, organized and lots of labeling. Parking is easy and lots of it. Nice job!
We loved this place! Spent an hour and a half just looking at all of the amazing rocks and gems, then our kids went back again a few days later. This place is literally a museum with the owner's extensive collection on display, which has some amazing stuff. Great prices too and an amazing variety! My adult kids did the gem mining outside, which was fun and worth the price. You can buy a dollar rock, big Solo cup loaded with local rocks for $5, split a large geode for $15, buy huge rocks by the pound, or get amazing imports from around the world! The workers answered lots of questions for us and were very knowledgeable. You must visit!
This is our absolute favorite rock shop in all of S Dakota. Great selection and prices, and the owner and his staff are always pleasant and helpful. Stop in and check out the owners private collection as it is museum quality.
A wonderful place for kids to experience rocks and gemstones. We spent about an hour here. The “gemstone paining” is a MUST DO for kids and a great value starting at $7.00 a bag. Did take off one star for not having restrooms available.
This place is awesome! Wish I had had more time to view their great collection. Worth stopping and picking up the kids some souvenirs.
The shop was clean and neat. The owner was very knowledgeable and kind. My friend wanted a little South Dakota to take home and besides recommending the petrified wood particular to this area, he found three rose quartz she loved. I have to say, the prices were very affordable as well.
Our experience here with my family and friends was life changing. Carl was very helpful and taught my friend and I about the extraordinary rock collection you guys have. The fossils and minerals were elegant and beautiful!!!!!! Also, i purchased a ring here and wear it everyday in memory of Carl. We also took a picture with this pretty boy who's in sports and marching band. HE DESERVES A RAISE! Carl was extremley informative about every rock, fossil, and agate located in the shop. I will forever be touched by Carl's intelligence, amiability, and existence. Long live Carl!
Some of the best crystals around the city. This place is full of intriguing specimens of minerals and rocks/crystals. Gorgeous pieces for a good price.

This is by far the most awe-inspiring trail I have ever done. The views of the surrounding area and the rock formations are breathtaking. The photos can't truly capture the beauty here. The trail was a bit more difficult than we expected. A couple
This is an amazing local gem. The food was beautifully delicious and the staff were all delightful. I loved my breakfast salad, and the rice pudding was...breathtaking. Make sure to make a reservation so you don't have to wait, and then enjoy. Hjem w
This is our second time coming and is hands down best combination of culinary, dining, and service experience weâve had in the Black Hills so far. This is a high standard to beat as we tend to be foodies. Our meal was impeccable. My husband and I b
I drove an hour with my kids just to eat here and as usual it didn't disappoint! Excellent food! Very busy, which was expected. Staff worked quickly to get people seated and orders in for those of us waiting by the door. This made the wait short! We
We had a great experience at Custer. There were hundreds of bison and we were able to watch several bulls testing each other. It was an awe inspiring moment. We saw a coyote, a handful of whitetail deer, wild donkeys (including a baby) and literally
Quite possibly the best Reuben sandwich I have ever tastedâ¦and I order one whenever I eat out, if it is on the menu! Definitely stop by when in town. Nice people, great eats and a clean space.
We stopped based on a local friends recommendation. Miner's cup did not disappoint. The kids love their hot chocolates. I was happy to see an Iced Caramel Macchiato on their menu. The 20 oz comes with 3 shots, which is standard. I'm used to quads.
Absolutely loved this campground! The views were amazing! Easy access to everything in Custer State Park. Host on site and very helpful. The restrooms were very clean. My 25' trailer fit perfectly in spot #3. I would highly recommend this state park
We stayed at Stockade Lake North in our truck tent on a site with no electric hookup. There was plenty of space at our site to feel private, despite the campground being almost completely occupied. We also had a picnic table and fire pit (the hosts t
