Love this beach! Our family goes here often just for simple walks to decompress. The view of Kachemak bay is stunning being able to see all the volcanoes. On low tide you can see jellyfish and search for agates. People who are also on the beach are usually super friendly. We can bring our dogs here off leash and let them run till their hearts content. Whether it is Spring, Summer, Fall, or Winter you can always come here. There is always a place to walk and enjoy the scenery. Some folks even can bring their 4x4s out and drive along the back side. It can get a little chaotic during our fishing season …but that’s a given. I highly suggest coming to this magical place. Their is even a kids park just right before the beach.
Beautiful Beach with REAL SAND!!! It was chilly and drizzling outside, but the water was still bearable enough to stick your feet in. It was still gorgeous and packed with fun. You can camp, fish and bonfire here. There were also seals that kept popping their heads out of the water and coming up pretty close to the shore!
Beautiful beach. Pet friendly but they have to be leashed. Mountains, Ocean and sandy beach. Just an all around gorgeous view
Kenai Beach is a wonderful, well preserved beach. The length of the beach is very long allowing for lengthy walks out and back. I visited during a low tide and found 1/4 of the lower portion of the beach to be rich in thick silt/mud that is easy to get stuck in. Overall, it’s a very pleasant beach of nice fine sand and plenty of room to stretch out.
Was a great place to sit back and relax. We walked and collected many shells and even saw a few sea lions popping up here and there out amongst the waves. The smaller vessels will come and go from time to time off the mouth of the Kenai river. The tide comes in and goes out roughly twice a day but it could be at any time depending on time of year so refer to your tide tables or google will typically tell you when the next high and low tide are. During low tide the mud flats are exposed and they are very neat to go out and explore. Be careful not to get stuck and dress appropriately. Also give yourself plenty of time to make it back to the shore before the tide starts coming back in.
Great facilities, little pricy for entry $20 a car great access to the kenai for dipnetting. Parking is a little far from the river and very little inforcement on parking rules. Can get very busy during a salmon run
Fresh air, sandy beach and just peaceful all the way around. I went on a Saturday and it was so calm. Not the chaos that I am used to on the beaches of the PNW.
North Beach. We were told we could camp in our RV's so we did for two nights. Avoid this spot during the dip fishing season tho. Close to town, right next to the beach. Lovely.
Wow, a such great store! Very knowledgeable and friendly staff, they had cbn in multiple formats, and everything else is be interested, and different sizes in edibles and capsules too. I'm looking forward to going back and I'll very likely learn go
Love going to the beach rain or shine the tranquility and peace that comes to you just you and sounds of the tide crashing in the birds searching for rocks, driftwood shells...if you're by one take the time to get your Spirit Centered and let go of e
The food was really good. I had a pancake sandwich. The waitress was awesome too! I seen her unload her arms full of water, glasses and silverware to get our food first that was up so it didn't have a chance to cool off. She was amazing!
I like Walmart fine. I just don't like it when you look up on their website and they show they carry the items, but they really don't. Besides that it's a very cost worthy place to shop. Much better every time I go in.
