MIXED REVIEWS It's OK. The burgers and fries, onion rings, chicken tender, and the baked potatoes are awesome. The food portions on all items are very generous, served fresh and hot. The dinner rolls and cornbread are also excellent. The daily specials are the best choice if you're unsure of what to choose. You might be slightly disappointed, most of the lunch and dinner entries are bland and almost no seasoning. The breakfast is always good, especially their biscuits. The hash browns are cooked nicely with crispy crust but no seasoning. I would actually rate them 3.5 but gave them 4 because the food is good, just bland.

First time here. The food was awesome! The portions were huge. The price was right. Great macaroni. Great biscuits with sausage and just fantastic food! So much to choose from. The restaurant was packed and we were seated in like 5 minutes. This is a gold mine!

Food here is always the best and comforting. Been eating here since it was a grill and bait shop in bayou vista and have eaten at every location. Reminds me of the 1990s dinners with my mama and grandma! Recently had my new husband try it and he fainted at the portions especially his BBQ BRISKET BAKED POTATO lol.

Classic. Everything you want it to be. Diner feeling with southern rural lodge charm. Breakfasts are ALWAYS overwhelmingly large and delicious. I ordered the chicken fried chicken, with perfect biscuit and gravy. Chicken is larger than extra large plate. Biscuit as big as a boulder.

My first visit. The breakfast was just okay. Served cold. Grits, gravy and eggs should be served hot. May not return.

Came here Saturday about 11:30am. There was a 15 minute wait to be seated, a 10 minute wait for our server to come, and a 10 minute wait for our food to come out. The host that was taking names was pleasant and our server was attentive. I ordered the chicken and waffles with a country gravy on the side and it was delicious. The place was clean. Over all, good experience and will be visiting again.

If you’re as hungry as a lumberjack, or you’re going to battle Kelly’s is the place to come for breakfast. The plates are huge and the biscuits are even huger. Pancakes bigger than a tire so you better come hungry. Everything is good and the place can get crowded in the mornings so come early.

I’m from very rural Texas, and this is a place that makes me feel like I’m not in the Houston area. Very traditional southern foods in ENORMOUS portions for a reasonable price. Our server was amazing— she was so attentive and accommodating. She even spoke to my 2nd grader about his upcoming school year. I’m very thankful they rebuilt after the fire!
