We stopped by for dinner at 7:00 on a Thursday. It wasn’t too busy, but there were four or so other tables seated. Service was friendly and we got to pick where we sat. Our waters were full and the food came out very timely. Overall the food was really good. I really enjoyed the garlic naan and the chicken biryani. The portions are great for the price. We got an appetizer and two meals and took home three boxes of food. We will definitely be back to try other items on the menu.
Delicious. I'm not an expert enough to detect how much Nepali vs Indian the food was, but everything was fantastic. I had vegetable momo, lamb sekuwa (my absolute favorite dish of the night), palak paneer, onion kulcha, and aloo paratha. Even the hot chai was very good. The restaurant is simple, but I loved the themed but not invasive music. I always appreciate when the waiter doesn't give me a deadly suspicious look when 1. I'm alone 2. I order like I was with three more people. So, points right there too.
This has become one of my new favorite places. Everything I’ve tried so far has been absolutely delicious, and the Friday-Sunday lunch buffet is excellent and reasonably priced. Pictured is the Chicken Tika Masala, the Chef Special Grill Plater, & Garlic Nan. All of it was AMAZING! I’m literally getting hungry just typing this review. Just GO, and thank me later!
Mohan and Binod are fantastic! Super friendly, quick to greet you and very attentive throughout the entire visit. I have yet to eat anything here that wasn’t great! This picture is of the Garlic Lamb over a bed of rice with a piece of garlic Naan. Everything from the tea(great flavor) to the appetizers, entrees and dessert are great! I’m still trying something new at every visit. I brought my hesitant wife and kids, a while back, for the buffet so they could try an assortment. My wife loved it all. So much so, that every time I go (which is often) she tells me she is jealous. The kids enjoyed what they had also which was surprising with how picky they are. I work close and go almost once a week. Highly Recommended!
Loved this place! If I am not wrong as of now this was the only indian buffet open during Sundays. On weekdays there are a few indian buffets around. I was glad that they offered a buffet. Option were good for vegetarian and non-veg. Jlyk paneer Nice buffet for $15 before tax. The food tasted good as well. Over the phone guy was a bit rude when I called and asked for what they have for veg and non veg options on that day. Actually, he hung up on me. We still went there cause we wanted indian this time. Cons- curries are a bit too oily.
Oh my gosh, this place is so good!!! I'm obsessed with dumplings from all over the world--especially momos! I got the sauce on the side instead of having the soup momos which is served in a boat of sauce. I got a second side of sauce and that was plenty! You don't want to compromise the flavor of the filling, you just want to enhance it! Boyfriend got the Goat Thali which comes with an assortment of goodies related to the protein of choice. This was also AMAZING and if I weren't full, I would've taken it all from my boyfriend ☺️ Highly recommend! If you aren't dairy-shy/lactose-intolerant try the Rasmalai!!!
Some of the best Indian food I’ve had in the Des Moines metro. Restaurant is extremely clean, staff is very friendly and attentive, and food is delicious. Highly recommend you try Kathmandu for yourself.
Everything we had was absolutely delicious. My husband had the Coconut Chicken Curry and he loved it. I had the Chicken Tandoori and oh my goodness it was phenomenal. Also had the Garlic & Cheese Naan. Oh and all their house sauces are delicious. Our new favorite place to eat!!

Quirky little coffee shop with varied menu and inside/ outside seating. I had bacon quiche and a new-to-me drink, mate latte which had green tea, steamed milk, honey. It was delicious. The quiche was good and the crust was flaky & tender. There we
ð lol I ordered once through drive through and went back in again and got more for later. The burgers are the best in town. They are meaty and options in meat like 1/4 , 1/2 so everyone gets the best deal. Best fries ð in fast food. Their choc
