We have been to both the Mt Airy and Eldersburg locations many times already & here is my overall experience of the restaurant:
Service- fantastic
Atmosphere- clean , but the Mt Airy location lighting can be too dim at times.
Food- sashimi is very fresh; sushi is tasty; but…. Some of the appetizers sauce can be a bit funky 😔 especially like to point out, the baked eggplant and some of the dishes with Sriracha they don’t taste too good. Highly suggest to refine it.

I stopped by to place a take out order. Took my order quickly and my food came out fast as well. And very tasty. I enjoy eating in as well. Nice decor and friendly staff! Edit: gone back many times!

I started my order by asking if the ramen noodles were flour based or rice...the server went to find out and immediately all staff were engaged in finding gluten free alternatives. I am gluten and dairy free and had not shared that yet as we all knowhow uncomfortable it gets asking for substitutes. The manager/owner (unsure) came table side to offer an alternative to each ingredient that needed to be replaced. I had amazing ramen and sushi gluten free with fantastic service!! Thank you Katana!
Sashimi was a miss for me. Wasn't great, but there's not much good sashimi in the area, so it was better than other stuff nearby. Got some free fried Oreos at the end, kind of a first for me at a Japanese restaurant but tasted good
I ordered vegetable fried rice and forgot to mention it had to be gluten free. I was fully prepared to pay for my mistake but they suggested I just exchange my miss-order for a fresh gluten free fried rice free of charge. My wife and I have been going here since they've been open. Food is great, we only go here for sushi in the area and this previous experience got me to write a review which I hardly do. Stopped in for lunch and also dinner. Service was a little slow, but staff is very friendly. Sushi was all pretty fresh and tasty. Was impressed that they offered “fancier” options such as toro and uni. Just a tad pricier than some other places in the area.
Came to celebrate my lil' cousin's bday and everything was just amazing. I had assorted Nigri sushi and was surprised at the portion sizes and selections as some pieces are rare to see at most sushi bars. Great atmosphere and service! Can't wait to come back!

Pretty busy when we came in, and had a short wait. Everyone were so nice even though it was a busy day. They ran out of ramen but had plenty sushi and udon. Nice ambiance and decor.
Menu is impressive with a bunch of options. Had the American Dream sushi, tempura combo, Victoria Secret sushi, and udon. Pretty yummy!!! Wait time for food was normal not too long. It is the first day after all.
