Captain Sidebur9's Poison Pirates!Captain Sidebur9's Poison Pirates!

Update: I revisited today an had a completely different experience. The guy behind the counter knew his stuff an was beyond helpful. Answered every question we had an even made excellent recommendations. Will have to come back and try the floats and house mix sodas. They have I believe 52 different games for you an your company to enjoy. An the selection of unique candy is impressive as well. Will definitely have to visit more often to see what else they have to offer! Disappointed! Heard fantastic things about this place so I made the trip. The music was great an the bar had a few people. I really enjoyed the lay out and what selection I was able to see! HOWEVER the young man at the counter was rather disrespectful and absolutely no help. He even talked around me to take an order behind me when there were two other servers to help them. Was extremely disappointed. Would have appreciated being offered a menu if looking is an inconvenience. The place has to have over 100 different unique sodas. It can be daunting an a little help from staff would be appreciated.

I was here for a birthday party and was completely blown away by how awesome this place is. As I told one of the staff, it reminds me of a place I would find in the Short North on High Street in Columbus; a fun, friendly place that is uniquely interesting and definitely worth a stop. I'm not even a soda drinker but the root beer floats were amazing and I walked out with a six pack of interesting drinks that I can't wait to try later. They also have a fantastic selection of Old Time-y Candy mixed-in with a lot of fun, new selections that made my sweet tooth go berserk. I could see myself going back here and spending an afternoon either perusing the board games or sampling from the wall of soda bottles behind the bar. It's definitely the kind of place you can bring the entire family because there is something for everybody. I included a couple pictures of some of the stuff I took home for later. The sugar rush I'm bound to get is totally worth it.

First time here was so much fun! The atmosphere is great. The board games are as well taken care of as they can be for being in public everyday. They have the coolest memorabilia section with socks and hats and cups and tumblers and ice cream float kits. I just can't say enough about how cool this place is there vintage and cool without trying too much. Which is a breath of fresh air these days. I believe the owner was in there serving and I was impressed.

One of the best places to visit in Ohio! Tucked away in the quaint town of Salem Kast Iron Soda Works delivers on being a wonderful mix of historic soda jerk shop and modern hipster hangout. With hundreds of soda selections, floats, and ice-creams to choose from you can mix & match to your little heart's desire. Spend your time drinking their amazing beverages at the bar, or in one of the many lounge couches/chairs scattered around the rustic parlor. Unwind playing one of the board games they offer for their customers, or enjoy a great conversation with their easy going staff. My handmade rootbeer float was made by a very knowledgeable young man who knew about every soda in there and exactly how they tasted. While I sat their drinking one of the best floats I've ever had I experienced a smooth and effortless conversation with a young lady who worked there talking about traveling and countries we visited all over the world. I'm honestly not sure if I was there 10 minutes, or an hour, as time seemed to be unhurried inside their soda parlor. There was no rush to pay, or get up and leave, as there are with most businesses. Instead the staff and environment was well suited to make you feel like family. It was easily one of the most relaxing times I've had inside a business in a very long time. I not only HIGHLY recommend this place I will also be making it a priority to visit them again as soon as I can. Thank you Kast Iron Soda Works for an amazing experience!

Place is super cool. What a concept. So many flavors. This is a must return. Bar atmosphere but no alcohol, yet still really cool somehow. They have so many unique flavors and you can mix and match. Possibilities are endless.

It was a little pricey but what a fun experience and so many bottles. If you're a soda guy or just want a chill alcohol free date this will be perfect for you. The music was great. The people seemed to have wide ranging knowledge about the drinks and made it a fun visit. Cream soda and vanilla ice cream... Eat your heart out root beer you've been bested!

Everytime I have ordered the taco bell it's really on point. Sometimes the crunchwrap isn't put together well. I steer away from LJS tho.
