Kappo Sushi and Ramen - Japanese restaurant in Boston - 86 Peterborough St, USA

I think this was a solid 4/5 stars experience. It was better than just okay, but not like "wow, I'm in love." Admittedly, I've only started to appreciate sushi in the past couple of years, but I have a clue. I got the salmon roll and the spicy tuna roll, and I thought they were good but not great. The salmon had a nice texture but a bit of a fishy taste. The spicy tuna was better -- not very spicy though, which is fine for my Midwest palate. I'm glad I got two rolls, because the rolls were pretty small. I thought this was good, but slightly less tasty than the pre-packed sushi rolls I get at the supermarket sushi counter -- and I'm not talking about Whole Foods here -- I'm talking about Meijer, our supermarket chain in Michigan. The sushi rolls we make at home are way better. I went there with a co-worker from California, and she thought it was pretty good, if that helps. Still...good, not great. Four stars.

Affordable sushi made fresh right in front of you, staff very friendly as well! This is my go to sushi place in the Fenway area.

This was my first time trying a sushi burrito and it was so delicious. I wish I took a photo but I devoured the food so fast. First off, I ordered a Kappo burrito to go and it came with free miso soup. $13 for a filling burrito and soup, totally worth it. I wasn’t expecting much but it was so delicious that now I’m planning when I can go again to try the rest of their menu. The store was so clean and pretty and seems like a nice place to hang around. Definitely recommend. Delicious! Edit: went back a couple days ago and snapped some photos

Nice, clean place with friendly, efficient servers. Food is alright - notably, shumai had that classic taste and the eel nigiri was flavorful and pretty. However, rolls can be a bit hit-or-miss; some pieces were way more rice and filler than fish, and the fish itself wasn’t always particularly anything to rave about. But a good choice for a nicely priced sushi dinner.

Food isn't terrible, but for $16 the ramen is also not particularly worth it. Go elsewhere for that, if you're looking for good ramen. They do have good boba tea at a perfectly ordinary price. I got the Shio ramen and the broth and noodles were not particularly impressive. It's a cute shop, though.
