Kamaole Beach Royale - Condominium complex in Kihei - 2385 S Kihei Rd, USA

Perfect view of the sea and Sunsets! Directly across the street from the Kamola Beach 1. Condo is laid out well with everything you need including chair and umbrella. No bugs, good bed, Very clean, updated and all amenities working. I recommend this unit for shopping, food, renting gear and near ABC for all other stuff. (Prime Rib at ABC is terrific) Kamola has super sweet staff too. We will be going back soon.

Staff was nice, no hot tub. Units are old and not maintained as well as they should have been. Broken blinds, dirty doors to washer/dryer area, shower curtains old and rusty, corrosion on bathroom light fixtures. Furniture was nice in living area. Units are on small side. They have fines for a variety of possible infractions of the rules.

The location of the property is good because it is right across the street from the beach. Also, there is an ABC store at the next door gas station which made it convenient to pick up snacks. The pool area doesn't have enough lounge chairs. There is no jacuzzi.

Some units I believe have been remodeled. Our unit B-207 was a train wreck! The place was beyond dirty -- from hand prints on the walls, a disgusting floor (which turn a towel brown upon wiping it up), the refrigerator handle was dirty, the plates and kitchen essentials were dirty (we had to hand wash everything (the dishwasher was broken and leaked water all over the kitchen floor - so even after maintenance came it still did not work but they did not care), the sheets on the bed were SO dirty that we took them off and brought them to the office right after checking in and the managers response was "maybe we aren't up to your standards", and my husband said look at these, is this your "standard". Dirty sheets with stains on them (and yes the pillows were just as bad). We did consider leaving but we had just arrived! She basically did not want to help us or listen to us, matter a fact she threatened to give us our money back and kick us out! THERE IS A HUGE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN OLD AND DIRTY!!!! The unit is old and needs remodeling BUT that does not mean you should not deliver a CLEAN unit for someone stay in!!! The couch was questionable so we had to throw a blanket over it. The worst part was being made to feel as if we were WRONG in requesting a place that is acceptable to sleep, eat and shower in!!! The management KNOWS NOTHING ABOUT SERVICE OR COSTUMER CARE! NOTHING!!

The resort was very nice - the room wasn't huge but was descent size. We had 2 bedroom 2 bathroom unit. Unit was updated and clean. We were very hesitant about staying at this resort because there were alot of bad reviews. It was close to the beach (across street) and close to restaurants/stores. I would say if you stay here you DEFINATELY need a car as everything exciting to do is about an hour drive. We went to the volcano - very windy at the top definitely need a heavy coat. We went snorkeling at Honolua Bay (we didn't go on a tour, we just drove and went by ourselves) and saw lots of cool fish. Highly recommend that location. We also went to the lava fields and the blow hole there was neat! We have been several places in the Caribbean and Hawaii unfortunately is at the bottom of our list. There are alot of other places that were a lot better. It was a long plane ride (10+hour flight)

Great location! Loved the across the street beach, it was almost private while we were there. It has a fantastic view of the sunset!! Close proximity to great eating places, shopping and rides to airport, LaHaina, Hana Highway and other areas of interest wasn't bad at all. Grounds were very well maintained, unit was ready and comfortable, little more AC would have been nice. Blinds need updating badly.

The staff was great and very friendly. The grounds were well kept and closeness to the water was awesome. My review pertains to the building itself. We were in unit C102 2 bedroom. We had a portable AC unit in one bedroom upstairs and one in main area downstairs. The second bedroom upstairs had just a fan. It was hot in that bedroom you wouldn't be able to even sleep and so glad we didn't have anyone with us. The portable AC unit was so loud in the other bedroom and you could hear the roosters crowing, traffic noise, and people outside at ABC store next door on top of that loud AC noise. We never got a decent nights sleep. The bed in that room was horrible too. It creaked so loud when you got in/out of bed or just moved, so I recorded the noise just for other people to hear. I have never heard a bed being so loud. The upstairs bathroom was also so hot, due to there being a skylight in the ceiling. Why would you put that in a place with the weather so warm is beyond me. Once you showered you didn't want to stay in bathroom that long just because of the heat. We stayed first week of January in this unit and I can't imagine how it would be in the summer. Sleeping in the other bedroom wasn't an option because the fan in there didn't help one bit so we just kept our luggage in there and that was bad enough being in there to just get at that. I would never do an exchange into this resort again unless they installed central air and I doubt that will ever happen. After talking with some other guests in a similar 2 bedroom, it appears that is the same issues.

While a little dated the Location is perfect a 2 minute walk to the beach across the street, Friendly people and walking distance to so many shops and restaurants. The manager made sure we were ablbe to check in with no difficulty after hours A/C could be better but was adequate for Late afternoon and morning, hey we were out all day any way.
