Excellent caring staff along with a well maintained facility. Lots of activities for Kupuna ( Seniors over 55) from hula to tennis and too many well taught classes to enroll in and keep active to mention. Located in Hilo off of Kinoole Street. Enjoy !
I was blessed to visit at the Kamana Senior Center with my mom and met the most amazing people. I love listening too and talking with our Kupuna (elderly parents, uncles and aunties, a term of redpect we use for all our elders). They were singing Karaoke that night, Japanese, Country, Oldies and a few pop songs. They were full of life and enjoying themselves immensely whole constantly trying to stuff my brother and I with food. 🤣🤣 I loved every minute. If you ever move to Hilo or visit and would like doing some crafts, classes or karaoke, I would come here. For those who love and respect our senior community please volunteer. These people are gold! P.S. the garden and tropical forest out back is beautiful, peaceful and full of life. Great place to ground yourself.
Great spot for meetings. In the hall we meet in, they have fans and louvers, so air flow is great. Decent acoustics and multiple areas for different activities. 🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽
Best place for seniors. I love the vast amount of activities available.
I have not physically been able to get to the Center bbbbbut they are very helpful on-line.
I've been taking cardmaking classes with Kim Springer. She's such a talented artist in multiple artforms. Kim provides guidance but allows us to develop our own style; there are no errors - just variations!
There is so much knowledge being share within every class taught, along with great people whom seem keep track of our instructor's, too...

My grandmother used to be a student here and I am so thankful to the staff and teachers at Kamana.
She took lauhala making and an afternoon exercise class.
My understanding of their program is to keep seniors healthy by providing them with a place to go to learn or practice skills daily.
The facility is well staffed and maintained well.
From what I have seen hundreds of people partake in this program at this center.
Thank you to Kamana and thank you to the teachers
Itâs an only outdoor sitting but they have canopies. Itâs basically food truck with seats under canopies so you can order at the food truck and get a seat and wait then they serve food to you. I ordered beef pho, dumplings and 2 cold noodles. It
So thankful we stayed here, got a completely different and intimate experience from our first half of our stay in Waikoloa. Our room was right off of the front porch so we had a nice area to sit and unwind before dinner each evening. Brian and his wi
This was an excellent place to stay. The breakfasts were amazing, the grounds are incredible, the location is great and the rooms are cute. The details are very clear and straightforward on the website. The lack of A/C was not a problem for us.
I was able to drop in while visiting town and had a great time. The staff, coaches, and training partners were friendly and welcoming, and the gym has a great atmosphere. Great place to train in Hilo.
Iâve had poke all around the Big Island and this poke is exceptional!! Highly recommend. Itâs a small take out window. Service was friendly and quick. The All Star Bowl was perfect. Love the tuna and the salmon the great sauces and all the other
I loved coming upon this place after walking to see King Kamehameha statue.
Staff was welcoming and friendly. They offered to show me how to make my own wrapping paper by pressing wood blocks into paint. Cool! I came to see the art exhibit, which was
You can experience some out of the world views from here (plan for the sunset). And its a great drive, even if you do not plan to visit the summit. Please do not miss this spot in the Big Island!
(MUST MAKE A RESERVATION) What a gem of a place!! My partner and I have lived here for 3 years and just went today and we are in love! What a beautiful little place and an even more beautiful owner. We came to only realize that you needed reservation
Very pretty and informative walking path through an area with diverse plant life and good birdwatching. Most of the hike is in a gated (not locked) enclosure to keep pests out. The entire walk is paved, and there is a small observation platform along
