Beautiful old historic hotel - the lobby is stunning and the staff are so awesome! Breakfast was good and the afternoon/evening cookies and popcorn are a fun treat. The rooms….well ours was fine. Listen it’s an old building and things can be quirky. It was clean but dated and we had views of walls out both windows. |For the rate we paid I was disappointed. I booked directly with the hotel - a few days ahead I was checking reviews on TripAdvisor and a MUCH cheaper rate popped up through Booking.com|So I went to the website to see if there was a lower rate - nope. So I emailed - no response. So I called and they adjusted my rate — but even at that adjusted rate I felt it was too much for the room we had. And having that hassle vs just getting a better rate directly left a bad taste in my mouth. And I really wonder if they would have put us in a nicer room had I not haggled about the rate - even though the reservation was for the exact same|Classification of room.

My wife and I stayed at the Grand Hotel July 30 through August 1.  On the morning of July 31 (Wednesday), we ate the continental breakfast offered at the hotel.  My wife and I shared a few items.  I also ate quiche.  Within 45 minutes of eating, I began to feel bloated, approximately 1 hour later, I started feeling sick to my stomach and had to stop at a restroom because of diarrhea, after that, I began vomiting. This sickness continued for the rest of the day. I contacted the hotel so that others could be protected.  They apologized for the problem.  I continued to feel sick (diarrhea) for several days.   When we spoke to the hotel later, they didn't want to accept responsibility. The day after getting sick, I looked more closely at the quiche in the container.  The pieces are cut individually.  There is no wrapping on them.  I wondered if they were kept cool enough and how the personnel working there were able to keep track of how old each individual piece was.  The piece that I ate was not very cold and may have even been an old piece that should have been thrown away.  I hope that my many discussions with the hotel staff has caused them to rethink how they do their breakfast.  No pet free rooms. Very small/miniature toilets. Good cookies. A classic, old building. Window air conditioner is very loud. If I hadn't become sick, our stay there would have been good.

We love this downtown treasure! She might be showing signs of aging but the old girl has class. The rooms have all the modern amenities, the beds are comfortable, and the breakfast is tastefully prepared and lovingly restocked. Cookies in the afternoon! 😋 But what makes this property a gem is the staff who greet you with a smile and do their best to make your stay special. Thank you all for a memorable visit! 💕

I can’t say enough great things about this hotel and its management. Bridget was absolutely amazing and so accommodating to our family. We initially only planned to stay for one night but our flight was cancelled. We immediately went back and Bridget was super helpful with that somewhat stressful transition (we no longer had a rental car but connected us with a woman who picked us up and dropped us back off). There are delicious cookies in the lobby and the location is in the heart of downtown. Highly recommend.

This is a historic hotel with a story. Centrally located, you can walk to all restaurants and shopping as well as the nearby music park. The room was very clean and the floor was a little loud and fun! Loved their service attitude, very kind and friendly. Thank you! If I come back to ski in the winter, then I think I will come back!

Just as advertised, it’s a grand old hotel located close to everything downtown. I although it didn’t bother me there is considerable traffic noise if your room faces Main Street. Otherwise it was very convenient, easy to find, clean etc

Such a charming hotel! Staff was very gracious and friendly. Our room was very clean, and the breakfast was absolutely delicious. Would love to stay here again the next time I visit MT!

Great location, cozy and comfy beds and a an amazing breakfast! Also they have a late check-in which saved us after a super delayed flight.
