I went here randomly and wanted to check out the sushi. I ordered a shrimp cocktail which was very good. I then had a bowl of miso soup. The main disk was the lobster tempura plate called Tropical Island. It had 10 pieces of sushi and some tempura on the plate. There was a bed of vegetables at the bottom that I needed to eat. Overall it was nice
The restaurant is very nice, the decor and theme is beautiful. But the environment was not very welcoming. The music was very loud and not very tasteful. The waitress didn’t know the menu and couldn’t recommend anything. She also seemed annoyed to serve us being that we were the only customers there on a Friday night at 7pm. I order a miso soup and a Springfield roll. The miso soup was very different I didn’t enjoy it. The Springfield roll was very good. I think this place has a lot of potential if they had better customer service and better taste in music. (The music was just trashy) Also they didn’t disclose that an 18% gratuity is automatically added to the bill. I don’t mind tipping but they should provide a good experience.
Locals, check this place out. Hidden local treasure. It’s not what you would expect from a typical Japanese sushi’s place. Located in a dive of a strip mall. We went on a Saturday night and there was (loud) Latin live music. You won’t be able to carry on a conversation while the singer had the mic. Unexpected. Ordered the tostones with shrimp. Quite impressed. The toston was cooked to perfection and the crab and shrimp topping was delicious. Krab balls…!!! A must order. There’s a hint of coconut and so delish. Main entree was the Daniela roll. Was a little hesitant to see that tomato was one of the ingredients, BUT don’t hesitate. This roll does not disappoint and heightens every single tastebud in your mouth. Colorful roll had a refreshing amount of seaweed. Also ordered the tropical roll (way too much food!) took a bite and had to pack it up to take home. Oh, and then we ordered dessert 🫣 to share with the table. Didn’t take a pic but we had the guava roll. Interesting texture - didn’t expect to have rice in this roll but it worked. Highly recommend as a great hidden treasure in our city.
After reading the reviews and seeing the different variety of sushi , my friend and I were excited to visit . From the looks of it, they remodel. Nice cozy place . For appetizer we order something that had tostones and mix seafood. It was good 👍, I would say 4/5. I forgot the name of the rolls we order. To be honest it was nothing amazing . They were good but nothing that blew our mind . I was a little disappointed with the menu . Almost every Sushi roll had platano frito inside or krab meat ( not crab meat) . I did not see any sushi roll that stood out . The menu they offer in the restaurant is different from the menu here in Google map . Service: Our server was ok. The only concern i have is she did not speak English. My friend does not speak Spanish, so when she tried to order in Englsih I had to translate to the server . It did not bother me but I'm sure for some people it will. Her services was ok. 😕 But over all , it was ok.
I LOVE Kai Tsu! My favorite sushi restaurant in Miami. There’s nothing like it! The Kai Avocado is my all-time favorite appetizer! Recommend 100%!
Delicious food, & Drinks, Also the servants were nice, my favorite one is Daniela Roll 🍣, And the fried rice was very delicious, Also the tostones it was the best tostones I have ever tasted, I really recommend this place.
Me and my friend came to this restaurant based off of reviews and the pictures we saw online. However, nothing about this place was Asian fusion nor steakhouse. There was 1 steak option on menu. Nice selection of “sushi” inspired foods but didn’t taste like so at all. Place was nice, drinks were good and the people and customer service was good. If you’re looking for Asian fusion this isn’t the place for you. The foods are more so Cubans cuisine attempt at the Asian cuisine.
The food is always delicious. They have great variety not just sushi. The restaurant decoration is adorable - when you walk in there you disconnect like you walked in another world. Great music Saturdays
