I stayed here for 5 nights in May. |The pros:|The staff was excellent especially those in the lounge and bar. For example, there was no grits available at the breakfast serving in the lounge and the attendant asked the chef to prepare some for me which he did and they were beyond good.|I fell on the street while I was there and need ice for my knee injury. The bar attendant went above and beyond to help me.|The gumbo and drinks at the bar were excellent.|Great location.|The cons:|The corner room was smaller than I expected.|Seating other than the desk chair was limited to one chair in the corner.|Lounge area is small.|Expected higher end touches for a JW—more like a standard Marriott.|I would stay again but my expectations are appropriately set.
Stayed here for a week on vacation. Had a corner king room on the 29th floor. The hotel is in a great location for walking to restaurants and bars throughout the French Quarter. Utilized the executive lounge for breakfast on days we had early tours. Several very close restaurants also available for breakfast and the in-house Brazilian restaurant had a reasonably priced nice breakfast offering and was never busy. The Lobby Lounge had a relatively decent choice of foods for dinner if you don’t feel like going out. Getting an Uber is easy since there are many drivers in the area due to its being in the “tourist” area. The room seems to have been renovated recently and was nicely appointed. Fantastic, large walk-in shower. Elevators seldom seemed to be very busy even with several conventions being held at the hotel. Staff were all extremely nice. Our stay was really very pleasant and would definitely choose to stay here again.
Everyone at this location was SO nice! Rae helped us check in and she was just so nice and helpful making sure we were all squared away on a great room. We arrived early and were hoping to just leave our bags to check in later but she found a room that was available for us and we were able to get checked in right away. She went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of and it was much appreciated!
Everyone else was super kind and amazing too. We had a great room with a great view which the kids were excited about. Definitely was a fantastic experience overall.
We really enjoyed our stay here over Memorial Day weekend. We had a nice view of the rooftop pool from our room. The hotel is conveniently located. The lounge had good breakfast options (though they were mostly the same throughout the day). We also loved the ability to grab cold drinks and snacks throughout the day. The gym was one of the largest I've ever seen for a hotel. The pool was very nice but got a little crowded in the afternoons. I also ordered room service at one point. They were out of what I originally wanted but helped me choose something else which was a great snack. It was quick as well! Would definitely recommend a stay here.
I came here for a work event at the beginning of July, which turned out to coincide with the ESSENCE Festival of Culture. While this proved challenging traffic-wise, the hotel remained a lovely space to stay. The service and hospitality are second to none; everyone was kind and helpful, ensuring that my stay was comfortable and enjoyable. Whenever I'm back in New Orleans, I'll be staying here!
We had an enjoyable stay at this JW Marriott. The view from the 24th floor was wonderful, and the room was spacious and comfortable. Every staff member that I came in contact with, was most helpful. Breakfast in the executive lounge was quite good, with a nice variety. The next time, I visit New Orleans, I will definitely consider staying at this hotel again.
Loved everything about this hotel!!. I did a quick overnight trip. The location is very convenient to all the hot spots. I had a couple of questions and each time I went to the front desk I received exceptional customer service. Maya & I believe the other person was named Adrienne, They were both very accommodating and patient. Other staff members were equally pleasant. All the staff members I encounter were fun an willing to assist. I will definitely return.
I'm a huge fan of JW Marriott properties so I try to stay at them as much as possible. Upon arrival, we were greeted at the front desk and offered several tidbits and great advice about New Orleans. Unfortunately, nobody was available to help with luggage and no luggage carts were available (which was also an issue at checkout). ||The interior of the property is beautiful and nicely decorated. The lobby, restaurant, rooms, and other amenities were all well maintained and similar to other JW properties. As a Titanium Bonvoy member we received access to the concierge lounge, but did not get an upgrade. The lounge had two floors, offering very light snacks and only breakfast (which was not up to par compared to other JWs). There was a pool table and games on the second floor of the lounge. It's also unfortunate that the lounge did not have warm snacks or plates in the evening, which is something you find at nearly every JW property. When we asked the front desk they claimed that travelers come to New Orleans and eat elsewhere so they don't have warm food in the lounge in the evening. It's limited to a couple snacks (pretzels, packaged cookies, etc). The reasoning did not make sense, as the property has room service and it seems to do quite well. It seemed very much like a way to cut costs. On the flip side, room service had excellent food and service. ||The hotel is in a good location and you felt safe at all hours. The fire alarm went off at 4am and we had to exit the building from the 23rd floor, but we felt safe outside. Overall, it's a nice property but I wish the service was better and that they tried to maintain the benefits that you expect as a Bonvoy member at other JW properties.
We had such a wonderful time staying at The Inn. We were greeted by our wonderful host⦠I mean warden. Todd was great and walked us around the jail, showing us where everything was. He had great suggestions for where to eat and shop. The kitchen ha
The executive king room is amazing, like having our own apartment right in the heart of the French quarter. Very clean. Great hotel staff. Easy to walk everywhere. My only complaints would be the water pressure is non-existent, but I imagine with old
