JUDE TRAVEL PARK OF NEW ORLEANS - RV park in New Orleans - 7400 Chef Menteur Hwy, USA

Marla and her husband do a fantastic job making you feel right at home! We parked right next to the covered patio (they have a spa and pool as well) which made the difference in the Louisiana heat. Marla also does shuttle services downtown (and even me over to drop off our fur baby at the sitters), which is super convenient! The park itself was nice and tidy, showers were clean, and having laundry facilities on site was wonderful! We will definitely be back! Thank you for making this leg of our trip so memorable!

Small quiet and laid-back park with easy access to French Quarter. Sites were not super spacious but totally acceptable for how affordable it was. That said, we did not feel crowded at all. Having laundry onsite was super convenient. I was worried about possible noise from trains but literally heard only three brief honks in the whole week that we were here and all during the day. The owner/manager was super flexible on working with us when our dates for being there changed. Would definitely stay again.

Very warm welcome. Small but clean campsite with all services. Nothing to do by walk nearby. Ideal for visits to the French Quarter or other activities but requires a drive. Owner available and responds well to requests.

Very nice, clean park to stay in close to everything in New Orleans. We used Uber most days to get to and from the park and our main destination for the day but the availability of the shuttle and the bus line was nice too. The park was clean, the owners friendly, and the noise mentioned by others was not noticeable to ua when inside our travel trailer for the night. The park was exactly what we were looking for, someplace safe to call home base and sleep, since we came to New Orleans to experience the city, not sit at the campground. Uber to the French Quarter and everywhere else was cheap, there were restaurants with good food close by and if we had any questions we knew the owners would be able to help. If we return to NOLA we will definitely stay here again.

Although the owners s quite nice , would definitely not recommend this place to anyone! We booked for 2 weeks for Christmas and new year but left after 1 week ! There is a train shunting yard at the back very noisy , but the worse thing is the gunfire on a night time , the local hoodlums fly up and down the road outside all hours of the night shooting their guns off !! Very frightening! First time visiting New Orleans and will definitely be the last 6 shootings 1 fatality Christmas Eve alone. Then to cap it all we had husbands wallet stolen out of the RV… There is an electric gate but. It’s left open during the day which is ridiculous!! So glad when we left that place !!!

Nice to have a secure and gated spot in New Orleans that didn't cost a small fortune, even though it's not right in town (which after one night there is a good thing). I appreciated the list upon check-in that gave detailed info for transportation, food, etc. Campsites are pretty close together, but it's nice and quiet. Pool was much smaller than it looks online but I'm sure would be nice for a quick dip when it's hot. You wouldn't really be able to swim here - too small for it! Laundry facilities need updating - kind of dirty and machines are finicky, several are out of order. Bathrooms are decent, lights go off every 10 minutes and you have to wind them up to keep them on (super fun if you're in the shower when they go off the first time, so wind them up right before hopping in). Resident kid is cute and fun at first, but he doesn't respect privacy. I was on the phone and he was at my campsite, which I wouldn't have minded necessarily, but he was making a bunch of noise. I explained that I was on the phone and asked if he could please quiet down to which he replied, "no." Luckily the owner had him come shortly after that. Overall, a decent place to stay, but nothing fancy.

If you're coming to visit NOLA this is the perfect little haven to park for a few nights. The campground was well kept, and the gate kept us feeling safe. There is some intermittent noise from the roadway next to the park but we didn't find it bothersome. Marla came out of the office as soon as we pulled in and helped us get parked. Hookups were well maintained. She provided a great list of suggestions for food and transportation. Pool and bathrooms were very clean. Would absolutely stay there again. Thank you Marla for being such a great host!

Amenities and service were great. The noise level from the neighborhood was a bit loud. There are laundry facilities, a pool and a hot tub!
