This was my second time visiting the Newport News location. The first time was for a birthday I had plans so I showed face stayed and had ordered lite meal from the menu and the rice and beans were delicious. I wanted to really get the experience so I came again with my daughter and sister to actually sit order some appetizers, drinks, and a meal. The food was great, seasoned well. When you first walk in your immediately greeted, there wasn’t a wait to be seated. Waitress acknowledged us and communicated she’ll be with us. Came and got drink and appetizer orders. We had empty plates another waitress lot serving us came and grab them in passing so the teamwork was definitely there. The vibe was great, we even ordered food to go!! Prices are reasonable and worth it!
Great, local, Mexican restaurant with an innovative menu and great people. The food is fantastic across the board; fresh, plentiful, and delicious. I appreciate that the menu is constantly adding new items and we have yet to have a bad meal. The birria items are top notch. This is a great place for dining alone, couple, families, groups, etc.
4.2⭐️ I’ve driven past this place so many times and we finally gave it a try! I wanted Birria so bad, and a quesadilla sounded perfect. I got a Birria quesadilla. My husband wasn’t feeling well, so I got him tortilla soup, AND a Birria quesadilla. Of course I was thinking the quesadillas were like… normal size quesadillas. WRONG! We could’ve easily shared one, and probably still had leftovers. They were in pizza boxes man 😬 So it was pretty much 2 meals for each of us🫢 But everything was AMAZING! I will definitely be going back to try more menu items. Highly recommend. 2nd try! We decided to give them another try and got the Quesadilla ranchera (to share because we learned from the first visit), and the chorizo con queso (also to share). The chorizo … it tasted like nacho cheese mixed with chorizo. I’m not against nacho cheese, but I did assume it was queso fundido con chorizo because I’ve had/made that so many times before. That’s normally not made with nacho cheese though. So it wasn’t my favorite, my husband loved it though. As for the quesadilla… Im not sure what cheese or sauce was in there, but I didn’t like it. It just threw the whole taste off for me. So round 2 wasn’t that great for me.
Susana was one of the best servers I’ve ever had. We were a party of 9 and she was on top of our every need. Also the bartender came out to ensure the drinks were made well. Lastly, best bathrooms ever—lounge seat in the men’s room. Thanks for the Juan’s Experience!
Absolutely ridiculous they charge you for white sauce ($2) there salsa is worse than water with red food coloring, Everything is overpriced on the menu they don’t offer an à la cart menu and much more. Would not recommend to save my life The water salsa you do get you only get about 2 tablespoons per table, aka pitiful as it gets Has to be the worst Mexican restaurant in the 757 or 804 or 252 area
Service was slow , enchiladas barely had any sauce very dry sat at the bar so thought Service would be good but bartender was barely at the bar enchiladas and one drink at 4 pm 35 dollars pretty steep
Wendy was a lovely waitress. The food was amazing, as always.
I like to visit about once a week. I was surprised when I first started going in there - how good the food and atmosphere is. They really make you feel welcome - almost like you’re at home. The food is absolutely phenomenal and made to order. And of course you have to try the margaritas. They have at least five televisions in the bar area to watch sporting events through DIRECTV The atmosphere was absolutely electric during the Mexican soccer game

After years of excuses and multiple invites from friends, I decided to finally give CrossFit a try. I came into the gym nervous and unsure of myself. I was welcome by Coach Terrence and several athletes from day one and immediately felt like part of
Canvas Coffee is the ideal spot for working/studying. It's fairly quiet so you can focus on the task at hand. The coffee is Sublime, while their menu is somewhat small the specialty items that they have are excellent. They also sell some food primari
Great gym, particularly if the generic box gyms are not your thing. They also had a great system for day passes for folks like me from out of town. It allowed me to train even when it was past staffed hours. Gym was very clean and had a lot of racks

Found this place online when googling best burgers in town. In town this week I had to give it a shot. This place holds up to the reviews and is very much hidden. The person working the cashier was super friendly and personable. I looked past all the
Great looking park close to town. Nice beach area to swim in and a awesome boat ramp right next to it. Two concrete ramps and good docks to tie to. Itâs free to launch and no fees for park. They have a pier you can fish off that was an old bridge i
