This place is incredible! If it were in my town, I would be a consistent regular! EVERYTHING was outstanding - from the salsa to the chips to the eggs to the enchiladas to the service... (except the biscuits & gravy, which were average at best). If you like Mexican food breakfast - beyond the typical "huevos rancheros" then this is your spot! Family owned and run (our waitress said the owner was the one cooking) and it shows the pride one takes in their own business. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
When we travel out of state, we stay away from “Mexican” food to avoid disappointment. This place was recommended by a friend and we were glad we went. My husband’s had the Chipotle Burger and it was yummy. I had the special on the board and it to was fantastic. Service was fast. The place was super busy, but we waited no more than 10 minutes for a table. The wait is worth it. This Texan was happy with this place!
First time trying Juan del Fuego and we were very satisfied. The chicken chilaquiles were amazing (add two over easy eggs!) Mel was our server. She was the sweetest gal with great energy and gave great service; which is hard to come by lately... everywhere you go. We will definitely be a returning customer!
The family surprised me with a brunch outing at Juan del Fuego for Mother’s Day. Mexican food wouldn’t have been my first choice to celebrate but I’m SO glad they knew better. Although we had to wait about 40 min for a table, the food was well worth it. The waitress was super helpful with answering questions and making recommendations based on kids requests. Highly recommend no matter what you’re celebrating!
First time I stopped in. I had lunch by myself. Chips and salsa are extra. (Didn't want to pay extra). They didn't offer Sopapillas so I'm guessing it wasn't part of the meal. Ordered the shredded pork tamales with refried beans and rice. Got beans that, while they weren't the black beans, weren't smooth like regular refried. The beans and rice were 70% of the plate and bland. But the worst part was the size of the two tamales. About 5 inches long and 1 inch thick. My fork was wider than they were tall. (And they use small forks). Meager offering for a $15.64 lunch, including a 20% tip and only water to drink.
I ate everything and went away hungry! That's not supposed to happen in a good Mexican restaurant. Maybe their breakfasts are better but myself and my family won't be going back. There are too many good Mexican restaurants were you don't feel like you could get a hotdog combo and pretzel from Sam's club afters eating there.
🍳🥞BEST. OMELETS. EVER.🥞🍳
Whenever I visit Norman, this is my absolute favorite place to eat. Consistently savory. Friendly service. Delicious breakfast every time. Best of all: I get the pleasure of supporting a small business.
Juan del Fuego serves generous portions, with plenty of sides, fillings, and sauces to keep you coming back to try different combinations. I love getting a side of pancakes with my omelet--a little bit of cakey sweetness with a little bit of skillet-greased egg. You can select from a variety of pre-prepared options or create a customized order of your own (I can't ever say no to avocado on mine!). Juan del Fuego is happy to cater to your personal preferences.
Fans of breakfast food, especially: don't drive past this one! It's an absolute hidden gem.
Love this place.
Juan makes the best pancakes ever.
Once I tried his pancakes I can't eat any other ones.
Love the pancakes blueberry & plain.
Fuego fries.
Cheese enchiladas with green sauce.
Juan too makes the best green sauce.
The restaurant is closed Mondays & Tuesdays.
They are only open till 2p when they are open.
Great place for weekdays, weekends any time.
They tend to be busier on the weekends.
They offer a full menu featuring many yummy items.
I had the enchiladas verdes. Just like it is mentioned, it is Mexican American food, and it was delicious. The chicken was well condimented, as well as the beans and rice.

I can nearly always count on a large university town having at least one health food joint. I donât mean Whole Foods, Sprouts, et al., but rather the mom-and-pop kind that are more than happy to serve a small but loyal clientele.
