J'S BAGELS & CAFE - Bagel shop in Emerson - 381 Kinderkamack Rd, USA

I was passing by and need it a quick bite, I found this to be closest deli near me. Place is very clean and has a nice ambiance but that’s about it. I saw the huge sign with breakfast specials for $4.95 from pancakes to egg sandwiches. I ordered pancakes and an egg sandwich when it was time to pay I was being charged $13.06 and when I asked about the price, the cashier told me that he has a sheet whit the prices and he has to go by that sheet, I said what about the breakfast specials for $5 and he just said again “ I have sheet here and it says the prices are on that sheet and that’s what I have to charge” this sheet is taped by the register and customer can not see it. I highlighted it in one of the photos. The cashiers told me the price are higher now so this are the prices. I was hungry so I was not going to eat over the difference in price, when I got my food and the pancakes where not fully cooked and the egg sandwich had a weird flavor to it so I threw them and left. Will not comeback to this location.

Went for the first time today and was definitely impressed. Ordered the lox delight and it was super tasty and perfectly portioned with lox cream cheese and veges. Will be returning and recommend you try it yourself.

First time here and just went with a simple toasted buttered bagel and the bagels are pretty good. Friendly staff and seems like a busy neighborhood place especially with people on the go in the AM.

Was excited to see they offered gluten free wraps advertised on their website but in the store they had no idea about it😕

Meat lovers on an everything bagel. Thicc sandwich and their coffee is pretty good too. Great service as well, would go again!

This is one of the best bagel places in the area! I always go here with the wife and kids and they are always so kind to us. They have even offered to help carry all of the coffee to the car when my wife had her hands full.

J's Bagels and Cafe is a gem! I came here again this morning. Bagels are always fresh and the wraps they make for lunch are fantastic! The manager and the staff are very nice and personable which to me is high on the rating scale. They are in a good location with plenty of parking unlike other bagel places where there is only street parking. Trust me, go and try this place out. You will not be disappointed!! Support your local businesses!

This place is one of the best bagel spots in Bergen County. Bagels are fresh and always tasty -- try the raisin walnut or strawberry cream cheese spreads. Yummy in your tummy! Service is always speedy and with a smile. There is always ample parking for that quick grab and go. Try their smoothies -- only bagel spot in the area that serves them! I'm also a supporter of women and minority owned businesses and this is one of them. Pop on in, you won't be disappointed.
