We LOVED our stay at the Journey Inn. Valerie and Eric were excellent hosts and we were treated like family! They straightened our room and provided clean towels each day. We had a small fridge to keep things cold which was really nice. Our room was very nice and very comfortable. Valerie was an excellent cook and we loved all her breakfasts! Their location is quite ideal if you are visiting the Hyde Park area of NY.

It is everything that you want... immaculately clean bedrooms common areas comfortable beds, and quiet location. It is perfectly situated for exploring the historical sites nearby. The owners Valerie and Eric are extremely gracious, caring, and helpful The breakfasts are yummy and thoughtfully prepared. Treat yourself to a wonderful stay. Terry A.
Eric and Val were wonderful hosts!! Rooms and bathroom were very clean. Hosts were very knowledgeable about the area and made several great recommendations. They had many books and brochures about the surrounding area. We saw a book about Innisfree Garden on the coffee table and decided to visit. How picturesque! Great breakfasts. I would definitely stay here again.
Our stay was absolutely wonderful and quiet. The owners Valerie & Eric are very helpful and accommodating. The best part besides the freshly made breakfast daily is the adorable dog “Buddy”. The owners bring him in the dining room every morning to interact with guests. The inn is very convenient to so many attractions/towns. The Vanderbilt Mansion is right across the street and the Roosevelt is only 5 minutes down the road.
We opted for a 3 night stay here instead of a hotel. It was nice because my husband could go downstairs and watch tv if i slept late or took a nap :)|He said the breakfast served was awesome!|Very comfortable bed & pillows, wonderful air conditioning and shower/bathroom (we had the Kyoto suite). Before we left we were able to see all the rooms - they were all gorgeous.|Downstairs in the den you felt right at home - we watched a movie one night. I had hoped for a big ol rainy day so i could sit and read on one of the available comfy sofas/chairs.|Nice location as well - we traveled easily to the local areas of Kingston, Rhinebeck, and Poughkeepsie.
We spent two nights at the Journey Inn and found our stay to be entirely pleasant. Valerie, Eric and Edna were the perfect hosts. The Inn is conveniently located near all of the attractions in the Hyde Park area. The common areas and rooms were very clean. Breakfasts were exceptional. I would recommend it for anyone visiting the area.
We had a wonderful stay at Journey Bed and Breakfast. The room was clean and comfortable, and the breakfasts were delicious. It is very near Franklin Roosevelt's home, the Roosevelt Library, and across the street from the Vanderbilt Museum. The hosts thought of everything that guests would like (example: ice available for a cocktail in evening after returning for dinner), which is good, because they often were not around during the day.
Our 3-night stay at the Journey Inn was fantastic! Valerie and Eric are wonderful hosts; providing expert advice for exploring local sites and making us feel like family in their home. Breakfasts are out of this world and a perfect time to get to know other guests. We highly recommend the Journey Inn!
