When we checked in the service was excellent, with much assistance being provided getting stuff out of the car. What we ended up with was a suite, kinda sorta. In the "bedroom" portion there was the bed, a dresser to put clothes in if you were so inclined, a rather ornate and odd mirror, and a couple of lamps, only one of which worked. The bed was higher than I'm used to, and I'm pretty tall. The "living room" portion of it had a closet, a single S-framed chair, and what appeared to be a trundle bed, which was not terribly comfortable to sit on. Also a small fridge and a microwave. Each end also had a TV, mounted fairly high up on the wall. A coffee maker was also provided. The bathroom was in between the two parts, and was mostly okay but the toilet was *very* low, and the holder for the toilet paper was in an awkward place. Worst part about the whole thing though was the door. It was metal clad, and it wouldn't just close, you had to apply a nontrivial amount of force. And the process of locking or unlocking it was very fiddly.
The restaurant in the hotel was a pleasant surprise, with both the food and the service being quite excellent.
This place is very peaceful and clean!! The staff was very nice. Bed was amazing!! I will be booking again whenever we come back. Short commute to Jones Beach!! Sheets were clean, towels were clean, no stains.
Its in a quiet and safe neighborhood. It has a top tier Italian Restaurant. Some shadier elements may slip in every now and again. It has wall units. The beds are on the comfier side. The showers are on the smaller side though, so keep this in mind. The rooms are from the 1920s originally but have been renovated periodically since then. There is a table and chairs in the room. The keys are old fashioned ones!! Carpet is clean. No elevator, since it WAS the 20s and most places didn't have that luxury in those years. No telephones in the room due to the 20s, but one exists in the lobby. Pay phones also abound, but not sure how to or if they are operational. Bring your own phone preferably. Check in woman accommodated us for an early check in. P.S. in room refrigeration yet another plus this property has to offer!
We needed a room for one night. Lucky to have found the Jones Beach Hotel. |It’s a retro place, but the room was (thank you Yarneth),,bed was comfortable , room had refrigerator, microwave -and coffee pot, window a/c was new and worked well and on a Tuesday night we paid $138 total!|The lobby coffee was very good and they served milk with it!|What more could you ask for?!|We would stay again and recommend!
Cute boutique hotel close to the beach with a great Italian restaurant inside. The stairs are very steep and the rooms are homey and quaint. The lady at the front desk is nice to talk to. Would definitely stay here again.
This was really not worth the money... they do not have an elevator or a drop off spot for luggage, so we had to carry it in from the parking (but Manny, the front desk guy happily carried my bags upstairs), when we arrived, their was nobody at the front desk, and after ringing the bell 3 times, we just called the hotel, to get their attention. My room was freezing (the low that night was 48° and my room felt about 60°), with no way to adjust the temp. One of the beds was awful & very old feeling, but the other one was okay. I only stayed 1 night, but if you plan on staying longer, just know they dont have a dresser or any place to unpack into. My room had a little closet, but not every room has one (my parents stayef in one with just a hook on the back of the room door and a couple of hangers!) I will say the room was very clean, which I appreciated. The hallway between rooms slopes, indicating possible structural damage...? There is VERY little noise privacy, as I heard voices clearly through the walls and steps above me throughout the night. My last issue was the door to my room...it had one lock on it, and I much prefer two.
We love this hotel. The service is great and it's right near Jones Beach. The attached restaurant is also wonderful. Great place for a getaway weekend.
this place is a dump....save your money and go elsewhere. you can't control the temperature in room. locks on windows were broken and your entrance door to your room was paper thin. this place is old and dingy in need of a compete update. the toilet kept running as well. it was like staying in your grandmothers basement
Absolutely adore this place, love the workers, the products, the prices!!! Been going here for well over a year too and theyâve consistently been great to me. Ive already recommended this place to a number of my friends and will continue to do so
We went for a private party in a side room. Staff was so nice. Food was great! Drinks kept coming. When the party was planned I was told the manager was super helpful as well. Great time!!!!
I came here because I live in Queens and I was aware thereâs the same owner. I was anxious to meet Mrs. Milene Yanez, who, due to her fatherâs heritage, passionately prepares Venezuelan cuisine. She has been delighting the Venezuelan community wi
