This place is great! All the equipment is well maintained, and despite being very busy it didn't seem crowded. It was a Saturday and there were several birthday parties happening. My only suggestion might be to somehow create more shaded seating as most benches were in direct sun so it got pretty warm.
Such a great park, plenty of climbing structures, slides, swings. There's even what I call a zip line. Shelters to use and to reserve. The park is designed to be used by kids with disabilities too and gets closed every week for such kids to enjoy only. What a great place!
I have kids, and have taken them to my fair share of parks and playgrounds, so I speak from experience when I say that this is a top tier playground. Not only for it's built in ability inclusiveness, but for the scale and quality of this playground is it so good. The main section has two tiers of walk ways, with four covered twisty slides that begin at the second level. There are two zip lines, one that is for handicapped children. A four way, handicapped accessible see-saw, eight standard swings, and four handicapped accessible swings.
Truly the best park we’ve ever been to! It is very neat, clean, has several covered pavilions as well as restrooms and water fountains. The park is well kept, as a ton of exploration encouraging encounters for kids to enjoy! Also love that they have opportunities for those with physical difficulties to be able to still participate and have some outdoor fun themselves. Wish more parks where like this!
Saw the negative postings about the park prior to going, but we saw none of the described problems. There was staff on site both times I’ve been, and no issues with food/drink/bags on the picnic tables, or kids running around being kids…
The “keep off the grass” signage is rather silly, but I get it, brand new sod just put down. Bathrooms were clean and we spoke to staff on our second visit about an approaching storm. Said they would close the playground if there was lightning… My kids loved this park.
As far as children go, excellent!!! I would have absolutely thrived having a playground like this when I was a child. Instead we had metal slides that practically caused 3rd degree burns every time you tried to touch them. I had to refrain from playing on everything. Love that they have special flooring. DO NOT COME IF YOU HAVE A DOG. Within a few moments of finding a nice shady spot in the grass, a park employee appeared and told us dogs weren't allowed. I looked online and for signs before entering the park and did not see anything about no dogs. My dog is registered as my ESA (yes, a legitimate ESA via letter from my therapist) but I did not have my wallet containing card and tbh I have PTSD from even attempting to explain it to anyone because there's so much stigma. My dog is very well traveled and well behaved. He was laying in the shade resting but apparently that caused enough of an upset for the park ranger to be called. Not only did he tower over us but he legitimately followed us and then stood by the gate to ensure we left. I am not sure how my dog was bothering anyone but there seems to be people everywhere we go who hate dogs and that get upset about seeing my pug live his best life.
Edit: I went back and upon further inspection it does look like they have no pets allowed in microscopic font on their sign inside the park. I also clicked under their FAQ on Google and it shows that they do not allow pets. I think it would be better to have signs near the entrance that say no dogs allowed. I understand this park is for children and I think that's great. BUT as someone who has a dog I take everywhere and lots of friends with kids, it's disappointing that I can't just go and chill with everyone and my dog has to be left out.
Excellent park. Plenty of structures for kids of all ages. My grandchildren love the zip line and disc the most. Many slides for younger children. Alot of shade for parents to sit. Several picnic tables. Bring a drink or your water and stay hydrated. Lots of fun awaits you.
A beautiful park! Brand New and all inclusive for children of all abilities. The amenities are lovely, including an adult changing table. There is something for everyone and I truly hope to see these kinds of parks in every town! Opens at 9am and has parking behind it. update - have been visiting at least once a week and the place has stayed clean and the bathrooms are well stocked.
Wonderful trails and lake access!
Our whole family enjoys this park year round! We love getting outside and enjoying nature. The only thing that would make this place even better is if they re-opened the swimming pool.
Nice shop for people who need a place to go when all of their family likes to go antiquing. Has interesting clothes and knick-knacks that are more alternative in style.
Dog friendly store!
First and only time there, and I was impressed. Only about a year old, it's a multi use building with modern design and features. I was there a few days for a meeting, very comfortable experience. The place was always bustling with people taking adva
October 2023. Located in Morristown, Tn. My first time stopping by here. Pals Sudden Services does live up to its name. There is only a drive thru where you place food order at one window, pay, & then circle the building to pick the food. No inside d
A small but very nice park with a large pavilion that you can rent. There's three small grills at the main pavilion and plenty of picnic tables. There's a bathroom, a playground, a walking trail, park benches and plenty of room to play. Highly recomm
I love Morristowns Farmers Market, you can find your best fresh produce and all vendors are so nice and helpful. I've gone every week since it's been open this year but this past month. Frest fruits and vegetables are my favorite foods, I will miss t
Today was the first time going in and although they didn't have what we were specifically looking for, the owner (I'm assuming) was an absolute gem! ð
He was very helpful and even pointed us in another direction that might help our needs.
