JoJo's Italian Diner - Restaurant in Tarpon Springs - 217 S Pinellas Ave, USA

I love mom and pop shops!! Small intimate atmosphere. I am not sure what is in the bread, but if you are on a diet, don't try it!!! You won't stop eating it lol. I am an eggplant parm snob. This one was good. Nicely breaded, and the sauce reminded me of home. The service was out of this world. Our waitress was so sweet and wonderful to my little guy. The sangria was fantastic. I was told they are opening a pizza shop next door. Go support local... you won't be disappointed!!

We really wanted to love this place as it's walking distance from home. The food was good, but unfortunately not a $70 dinner for 2. We wanted to sample the meatballs and my mistake was being upsold by the waitress for "the bomb". I didn't expect sauce, ricotta and melted cheese to take the price up by almost $7 for 2 meatballs. We also felt that the special was a bit on the high side considering the portion was much smaller than the regular entree. Having a wine list with prices would also be nice. Because everyone was so nice we would probably return, but would stick to items on the menu with a stated price.

Oh, man, was this GREAT! Authentic Italian cuisine, like all the Italian mothers in my neighborhood used to make when I growing up. Excellent sweet red gravy, sausages and meatballs, homemade bread. Asked someone in the area where we could go for Italian food, and they were stumped, until the light came on and they said "Oh! Jojo's Diner." I was expecting a diner, but, this is a nice place with a great atmosphere, super-friendly wait staff, and most excellent food. A terrific discovery, we will be making the trip back. My compliments to the chef.

Went on a late Saturday afternoon and found the restaurant half full but was still asked if I had a reservation. Said "no" and requested a booth as I have back issues and have found that a booth is easier for me to get in/out of. Hostess seemed to make an issue of my request(even though I saw close to ten empty booths at the time and only two with a reserved card on them) and seated us right in front of the kitchen door where one of the waiters stood "guard" most of the time we were there. Waitress did a good job but two other waiters hit my friends chair 6-7 times as they moved past. Food was reasonably good but served warm, not hot. Very disappointed as the reviews here are good.

Nice little gem on Tarpon Springs for dinner. Authentic Italian food and decor. Staff was very friendly and our waitress was attentive. I had the Chicken Francese with tangy lemon a white wine sauce, and my husband had a seafood pasta special. It was a pleasant surprise to find gluten free pasta as an option. Best Italian dinner we have had since moving to the area a year ago. Prices fair too. We will be back again!

We always enjoy Jo Jo’s it’s our family and friends favorite Italian place. The stuffed mushrooms, Alfredo, shrimp, scampi. Is our go to! The bread is to die for!! The portions are larger so you have lunch for the next day 😄

Our first time and the food was amazing. Even one of the owners, Anthony came out to introduce himself and asked how everything was and chatted with us. My husband and I were so impressed. Being from NY this place is the closet to NY Italian that we have found. The only 2 changes I would recommend is giving some sort of bread on each table when you’re seated and offering a vegetable or pasta with your entree. We’re definitely going back. This will be our go to from now on. Our compliments to the chef, JoJo.

Amazing genuine Italian cuisine.....great service from our server Shiloh and a warm, cozy experience. The owners are present and accommodating but the real super star is the food! It's just like having your Italian Grandmother fixing you Sunday dinner. The quality is excellent and the menu is vast and filled with genuinely homemade choices. My chicken franchaise was incredible....Best I've ever had even from some very well known fine dining restaurants. Loved the experience and I'm sure you will too...
