"Old Home Week" at the Corinth Branch today. With Oak Park closed for renovation and Central Resource closed in preparation for tonight's "Cut Loose" event, I went to my old boyhood library to check my E-Mail and use the Library WiFi. It was the same excellent experience I usually have at the other branches. It's very reassuring to know that the Johnson County Public Library has so many branches and so many options.
Excellent services all around. I love having this location so close to being able to walk over as well as by car.
The Corinth Branch of the Johnson County Library is small and out of the way for us. That's okay, because it is well-organized and you can have items delivered to a closer branch if you wish. The only downside is trying to find the way into the parking lot. It is off Mission and W 81st St.
This is the best library! They take good care of everyone!

Went to a seminar, seems like a nice place, but room set up wasn't ideal to see screen because of where it was and how chairs were arranged. GOOGLE MAP GAVE WRONG DIRECTIONS, TURNING DOWN SOMERSET WILL NOT GO TO THIS LIBRARY!!!
Nice big library, good vending machines, not a large graphic novel section though, and there are no vending machines downstairs.
The library and the staffs are basically fine. It's just lately quite frustrating because of unstableness of their hours and closing days due to the remodeling(?) and their roof replacement. I learned that I had to check their hours on their website first, otherwise it was likely they were closed. I knew that they were closed because of the construction until 5/28 Friday, so I went there today (Saturday), because they were supposedly open today. However they were closed again!!!!!!! I knew this kind of thing would happen, so I did check their website to make sure they were open today. It said they were open from 9-5. But it wasn't true!!! Hope they will be back to normal very very soon!!!
