John's Pass Hotel - Hotel in Madeira Beach - 12854 Johns Wy, USA

I’m pretty bummed posting this review, but wow was the service terrible. My boyfriend and I were told over the phone at 3 pm that our room would be ready around 3:20 pm. Due to this update, we left the beach and walked over. Finding the hotel is already an adventure, but maybe we feel this way as we got 0 information for check in. We called over and over again for over an hour before someone even answered. Once the employee answered, he would put the phone down and continue helping customers in front of him. This was incredibly confusing as this hotel has NO office! Apparently the staff at the affiliated Clearwater hotel is mandated to handle this hotel over the phone. Other people were also standing by on the floor waiting for over an hour for their check in information as well. I finally had to approach the cleaning staff to call the property staff since no one was answering us or putting the phone down and assisting others (for over 20 mins). When we finally got our room info via text after 4:15 pm (it had incorrect dates in it too) - the room was just fine. The water took a good 10 mins to get hot. The service is just SO terrible and there is no one on site to help you. This is also attached to the main parking deck in John’s pass and there is nothing to stop people from walking outside your room at night, little to no security. We had to text them and ask for parking garage information as we were not provided that either. We checked out a few hours after arrival and went elsewhere. Honestly put a huge damper on our day and wouldn’t recommend the headache of staying here. Before anyone says this review isn’t attached to a name on a reservation, the hotel was in my boyfriend’s name.

The bed and pillows were great! Art work was fabulous!! The shower had very bad water pressure and took 1/2 hour to get hot water! Shelves in shower broken as well as the toilet paper dispenser which was non existent! Parking space was unavailable! The entry door did not work properly! The TV had no instructions and was hard to operate! The room was never cleaned up! Coffee maker was not workable! No cups!!

Elevator was not working, l explained before the reservation, we were traveling with a relative that had an amputation and has heart failure and asked specifically if there was an elevator, the answer was YES but neglected to mention, that it was not working..We had to all carry our relative 3 flights of stairs and he stayed in the location, the whole weekend, until check-out, so we didn't have to carry him up and down, which made him feel humillated. Not that we was not willing..so it did spoil the weekend stay for everybody..They never reach out to us..This was totally unacceptable..

This hotel deserves much higher rating than it has as it is really nice. We are uk seniors and the convenience of the room to the free parking means no stairs to carry suitcases etc. Its 3 minute level access. Also an elevator to street level. Our room 202 was clean , spacious and very pleasant. Great modern shower, lots of shampoos etc. Fridge, microwave, hairdryer. Even a large cupboard for clothes. Iron and ironing g board too. Our king size bed was so comfy and good pillows. We heard no noise from any restaurants etc the whole 4 days we were there. The large window is so fun as you can see out but it's that kind of glass that no one can see in. Highly recommend.

Positive: Convenient to the dinner cruise Negative: Everything is been great except the shower is barely got water coming out. And plus we got a bad tenant next door. There is a dead bird by the door so I don?t know if the tenant next door place it there on purpose because of the hate.

we arrived to the hotel room on a Thursday the AC was not working. It was 80° in the room. We called the desk to see if anyone was able to come out. They said no and said someone would call us in the morning and someone would come look at it. We never got a call and no one ever came. we had to sleep overnight with no AC sweating, in the middle of the night They AC leaked all over our belongings. We called the The next morning and still no one came we had to fix the AC ourselves and google it They told us that we would be reimbursed never told us how much. The next day our door was broken. It would not close. We called the front desk. We got told to try and fix it ourselves. Maintenance actually came out and fixed it. also, when we arrived on the first day, we were put in a disability room which we did not request. we have called multiple times asking the front desk if we are getting reimbursed and all they have to say is yes we ask how much and they could not tell us a number, they said after 12 days to call them back if the money hasn’t gone through after 12 days we called and they said it has processed. We see no money in the account. The front desk was very rude One of the ladies names is alejandra. and it’s sad to say we have come here many times and had a great experience but now we will never be back

Terrible experience. Parking information is not 5 in the check-in text. No email was sent for checkin. Had to pay for a few days parking because the free parking didn't work. The room was decent. The staff was terrible and rude. I tried to get a refund for the parking I had to pay for, and the staff on sit were very rude about it, and the airbnb staff were not helpful. It was the worst experience I've ever had at a hotel in my life. Terrible service and experience. If it were not for the beach and the areas around town, this would have been a huge waste of time and money. DO NOT GO HERE.

Perfect location. Easy access to John's Pass anemities. Tv display went screen of death day before TS Debbie. Calls resulted in a don't give a sheet response. Messages to online message system result in blank screen upon submit. Will update review when/if we hear from hotel ( no office on site). Pic is with TV on.
