If you need to cut a road trip in half, this place was amazing! John was very helpful and friendly. The grounds are very well kept and everything was clean. The amount of work John has put into this place really makes it fun to look around the room at all the art and decorations. If I'm ever driving through the area again, I will definitely stay here.

This is my new favorite over night stay! Stayed in queen bedroom with my husband and enjoyed the cozy decorated space. The small touches of robes in room, traveling necessities, and garden patio space made this stay very memorable. Host was very friendly and helpful with recommendations of different places for local areas. Will definitely be returning.

When you look up Monroe online, or depending how you drive into Monroe you may have second thoughts about where and what you are doing there. You will greatly miss out on an amazing experience if you change your mind and don’t decide to take advantage of this place! John’s house is nestled on a corner close to a revitalized area that has shopping, amazing food, and is close to everything. John’s house is divine and takes you back in history mixed with some very eclectic designs but somehow it works. The bed and bath were wonderful and the area safe and secluded. We had an amazing time and John was a great host! He shared all the good restaurants, places to go and made us feel like family. We will definitely visit this treasure again and so should you!

I would strongly advise against staying at this hotel. The manager has an incredibly aggressive and rude attitude. He demands documents immediately, without giving reasonable notice, and constantly threatens to cancel your booking if you don't comply with his absurd demands. Worse still, he has no hesitation in cancelling bookings in less than 24 hours, leaving you completely bereft and with no last minute alternative. My experience was extremely stressful and disappointing. Don't ruin your holiday or trip by choosing this establishment. There are much better hotels with professional and respectful staff. Stay away from this place !

We were so lucky to find this place. My husband and I were returning home to Texas from Florida and needed a place to stay for a travel break. I called John, the owner, of the B&B and were able to rent the Carriage room. And what a great price. He was there when we arrived to show us around. |It was fantastic. It had all we needed and way more. The bed and pillows were wonderful. We didn't need to retrieve our own pillows that we took on vacay. The way it was decorated was outstanding. I kept being amazed by the quality of the design of the rooms. ||We ate a restaurant (Trapp's) that was within walking distance. We wanted to try the Louisiana Cajun foods. |The owner gave us suggestions on where to eat for breakfast and we ate at the Delta Biscuit. The beignets and omelets were delicious. ||You have no idea how the place was so perfect and comfortable, especially for my husband who had driven many hours in pouring rain. The parking was safe for our vehicle with an extra travel hitch holding several ice chests. He was extra happy for comfort, a large tv to watch college baseball and a great place to relax. ||The next morning we sat on the swing on the front porch for almost an hour! A local hotel would not compare to staying at this Bed and Bath.

Absolutely horrible experience, and that was just the booking stage. Policies are absurd, and it is quite literally only a bed and a bath. Rules like "NO lingering in common areas. These shared spaces are to be used for coming and going only" meaning a hallway....so why are you calling them common areas? Brining luggage inside? Remember to keep the door locked, place things on the porch, unlock door, slip inside, and immediately relock the door. What? "SECURITY CAMERAS: JTB&B TAKES SECURITY VERY SERIOUSLY. Security camera’s are located in multiple locations outside like any other hotel. additionally there are cameras in the formal Parlor, dinning area and porch. Ring camera at entrance exterior. These measures are for the safety of our property, ourselves, and above all else our guests. As a Boutique Hotel please note you are NOT renting the entire property, only individual spaces within eath building, ." All to say you are required to enter, go to your cell, be quite, and don't step out of line or fear the owners wrath. What a horrible approach to customer service. It does not matter how past guest have been, it matters how you treat current and future guests: responding with authoritarian management practices based on select, past experience (if there even were any) is pitiful. Check-in within a 15min window. Are you insane? Delays from traffic alone make that unreasonable. This owner is completely unreasonable: be sure to read the full list of prison rules. Condescending attitude from the owner is an expected cherry.

Great place and good service. One kind of strange thing is I opened one of the drawers next to the bed and there was a plain piece of paper with the word "circumcision" scribbled on it, and there was a small Swiss army knife in there with it too lol. But it was probably just some prankster or something I assume. The host is really nice and it really is a lovely place to stay.

Owner is very friendly, the room was very clean and they had drinks in the small fridge and snacks available in the room which was awesome. And they had travel size items in the room if you had forgotten to bing something, like a toothbrush, deodorant, things like that. So it was really nice
