Lots of great walking trails. Great place to get some exercise or birdwatch (they even have a bird blind). There is a building too, but I did not have the opportunity to check it out.

Absolutely beautiful venue to hold your wedding. I had the pleasure of photographing a wedding here, and it is so magical. During the ceremony deer came out to watch and the sunset and moonrise were majestic. Staff are very friendly! Highly recommend!

My husband and I got married at John James Audubon Center in September 2023, and we highly recommend it! All of our interactions with JJAC/JAM Catering were nothing short of courteous and they made wedding planning stress-free. We worked specifically with Tara Iannucci, and she was an absolute pleasure to work with. Tara was thorough in her review of our timeline and patient when answering our questions. She was attentive to our needs and her adaptability made last-minute adjustments possible. Her reliability enabled us to feel relaxed and enjoy our special day. The barn and pavilion were spectacularly decorated, the food was fabulous, and the staff were kind. Our guests had a wonderful time. We a lot of give credit for the enjoyment of our day to Tara/Audubon/JAM. If we were to do it again, we’d still choose JJAC. The trails are great for running, cycling, bird watching, or hiking. We did the Audubon loop, which was a little over 5 miles with minimum elevation gain. The trail can get confusing when meeting up with the Perkiomen and Schuylkill River Trails! There are no dogs allowed within the loop trail and the other trails the Audubon Center has to offer. The $14 admission fee is only for the museum, not the trails. I wouldn’t mind coming back to do the other shorter trails the Center has to offer.

As a wedding venue, I couldn't imagine anything being done better or a more beautiful location. Last month, my (now) wife and I had our wedding here. Both of us are passionate about wildlife (especially birds) and the outdoors, and this was the first and only venue that we visited in person! We knew that the grounds, the historic (but not too rustic) barn, the beautiful (optionally) open-air pavilion, and seeing Audubon's home was the perfect place for us. We are so grateful to the staff for making everything so genuinely wonderful on our special day, it was simply beautiful..and the venue deserves every bit of this 5-star review.

Most of the reviews for this place were from people who either attended a wedding or had a wedding here. My review is strictly from the perspective of visiting the location because of its historical significance. We spent about three hours visiting the museum and spent a short time on the trail. The museum itself is chock full of information about John Audubon and his contribution to the natural world. The information was well organized and very interesting. Most exhibits are interactive and I learned a lot. I’ve read a book about Audubon and have been a birder for a number of years and yet I found quite a bit that I did not know. As you make your way through the museum they have a couple of short videos further reinforcing the information. As you make your way around you will find yourself in the gift shop where you will find books, toys, shirts, and lots of local wares. After we finished in the museum we made our way to the trail which we took to see the house and went part way around the trail. It was a really hot day so we did not walk the entire trail but I will say the scenery was well worth anytime out there. It was nice to come outside after learning about various birds and use what I learned to help me identify the birds outside. As someone with limited mobility I appreciated how accessible the museum and the bathrooms were. I was able to easily navigate the museum with my scooter. They had a separate bathroom that was easy to get in and out of. The outside areas were well paved which made it easy to use my scooter. This is a well groomed and beautiful location. The museum is top notch and well worth the visit.

We are so happy we had our wedding at the John James Audubon Center! It has the most beautiful nature backdrop for pictures outside. Our ceremony and cocktail hour were in the barn and it was one of the most beautiful buildings. Our guests were so impressed by it! The reception in the pavilion was gorgeous with large windows, a fireplace and mantle, and ample space for our guests. Our JAM coordinator was the MVP of the day and went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. I would highly recommend having your wedding at the John James Audubon Center!
